• The hotel building is a relatively low-rise building consisting of four floors and a partial fifth mechanical plant roof level, with a total height of less than 15 meters above street level. The floors below ground floor level are gradually descending towards the sea following the natural contours of the land plot.
• The grid of columns spacing is in the range of 8.4 to 8.40 meters chosen to cater for the internal use and distribution of functions in the architectural plans, forming slab panels of square or rectangular shapes.
• The structural system of the building is a shear wall and special moment-resisting frames (SMRF) interactive system to resist lateral forces in proportion to their relative rigidities, considering interaction between frames and shear walls on all levels.
