Reading and Writing program of the English Preparatory Program (EPP) using online tools and resources
• Planning and developing audiovisual material to accompany the material in the form of video, power point presentations, songs… as well as worksheets and activities.
• Collaborating with team members to develop more formal summative and cumulative assessments especially for midterms and finals
• Preparing a course file for the assigned coursework to help evaluate the materials, assessments, activities and so on.
• Creating a friendly, respectful, and cooperative learning environment with the learners in both my male and female classes
Professional Service:
Activities include:
* Facilitating the faculty’s reservation of the library facilities or request of a service (workshops, introduction to a database, etc.)
* Helping schedule/ conduct orientation tours of the premises for new faculty and students
* Conducting workshops that introduce the Library’s databases in general, or those customized to the topic of the class attending
* Collaborating with other departments to conduct APA workshops, study skills workshops or e-learning sessions for students.
* Arranging professional development workshops on databases or teaching methodology for faculty and staff either on campus (Knovel, Scopus, Cengage, Pearson to name a few) or online in the form of webinars (SAGE)
* Managing the distribution of hard copy(books, CDs, DVDs) or soft copy (trial access to databases, links, and apps) resources received by the library
* Maintaining operability by reporting issues and implementing technical updates related to the databases
* Monitoring usage of the online databases through Counter reports Facilitating the renewal of the existing platforms and databases
* Procuring additional or extended access to existing databases
* Recommending new possible acquisitions, submitting them for review and facilitating the contact with providers

Teaching Activities include:
- Teaching the assigned course work for ENGL100 and ENGL106 which focuses on writing academic essays
- Teaching and applying APA style formatting, in-text citations and referencing for academic writing
- Teaching and applying the fundamentals of research using Google Scholar and journal databases
- Guiding learners to read, analyze and evaluate online material for validity and appropriateness
- Providing alternatives to quoting material by practicing effective paraphrasing and summarizing
- Developing supplementary material to accompany the course content in the form presentations and worksheets
- Developing ongoing assessments in the form of online quizzes / graded assignments/ group presentations/ discussions for the course material

I attended A.C.S. for 9 years, and I received a quality education where I was able to complete the requirements for both the American High school diploma offered in school as well as the requirements for the Lebanese program - Brevet and Baccalaureate exams. i was among the students recognized for their achievements in the Brevet exams, and I received a scholarship based on my academic achievements for most of my scholastic career in A.C.S, which involved discounting 20%of my tuition. I also received an award for my efforts upon my graduation.
