• Lead and supervise the team of client on-site and full-time personnel in the overall monitoring of construction activities and assure that the works are done in full accordance with the schedule, plans, and specifications and coordinated with other disciplines/ trades.
• Supervise and monitor preparation of all client documentation and reportorial requirements.
• Monitor the progress of construction activities and assure that the works are done in full accordance with the schedule, plans and specifications and coordinated with other disciplines / trades.
• Supervise and monitor the prompt exchange of correspondence with the contractor, consultants and other persons/entities concerned.
• Supervise and monitor the review, provide comments and recommendations on submittals (shop drawings, material samples, brochures, manuals, etc.) and monitor the progress thereof.
• Monitor coordination of the PDMD Project Team with contractor’s supervisory personnel regarding schedule, sequence and method of work.
• Attend and participate in progress / coordination and other related meetings and inspection activities held and prepare the corresponding minutes, reports and highlights, as required by the Project Team.
• Supervise and monitor the review of Contractor’s inspection, surveying and testing requests and subsequent completed reports.
• Supervise and monitor the review the correctness and completeness of as- built drawings and final inspection. Review the adequacy and accuracy of the punch lists. Monitor the final completion of the work. Assist in the handover of the completed facilities.
• Supervise and monitor the witnessing of specific construction activities, including testing of materials, equipment and system and commissioning activities, as may be required by the Site Engineer and/or Project Team.
• Review and consolidate all reports (accomplishment reports, billings, etc.) submitted by the contractor and provide comments and recommendations. The evaluation of the Contractor’s accomplishment must be based on an accurate quantification of all items of Work in the Construction Contract.
• Review, consolidate and evaluate requests for Variation Orders and provide comments and recommendations.
• Identify constraints and recommend corrective measures and solutions to any unexpected difficulties and other problems that may arise.
• Performs other duties as may be assigned periodically.
• Conducts online teaching of all architectural subjects to every year level.
• Complies/implements/school rules and guidelines embodied in the faculty manual and the terms and conditions of faculty employment.
• Implement university outcomes-based education/outcomes-based teaching and learning.
• Conducts online classroom instruction on the subjects indicated in the official teaching load for the semester in accordance with the school’s standards and policies.
• Maintains effective online classroom management through orderliness in the classrooms and inculcates student discipline.
• Participates in the revision/development of the syllabi.
• Conducts student advising/consultation.
• Performs other functions as may be required by the program chair.
• Attends and participates in departmental and administrative meetings and authorized school activities.
• Responsible for all Architectural works done at the construction site.
• Ensures the works are in accordance with the latest drawings and specifications issued for Construction.
• Supervise and monitor construction and installation of all architectural works supplied and installed by general or specialty contractors and suppliers at the project site.
• Ensure that all architectural installations are in accordance with the technical specification and material submittals approved by the architectural design consultant.
• Coordinates closely with Engineers of various trades/disciplines, project managers, and consultants to ensure that the construction is in accordance with the project schedule and quality workmanship.
• Attends regular meetings with the owner, consultants, and project manager.
• Coordinates with various consultants on design and construction issues and relay correspondences and documents for information, review, comments, approval by the concerned consultant.
• Evaluate billings as submitted by contractors/suppliers, and assist the Project QS in the resolution of variation.
• Conducts in-process inspection of construction works, monitors accomplishment as against project schedule, and recommends construction methodologies and/or alternative materials that affect the timely delivery of services.
• Ensure that all QMS tools and forms are properly filled-out upon submission by the contractors/suppliers, inspected, duly signed, and filed accordingly.
• Responsible as qualified to act as QA/QC at site thereby reviews material submittals and samples submitted by the contractor prior to endorsement to the Designers and Architect.
• Ensures that all the materials used in the project meet the highest quality standards and specifications.
• Identify defects and prepare defect lists for review of the Project Manager and the Construction Manager and ensure the rectification of the defect.
• Implements and monitors architectural works to contribute to the high quality, cost-efficiency, and timely-delivery of the project and in accordance with the RA9184, PD1096, and CIAP 102.
• Checks all materials to ensure that they are within the required specifications.
• Conducts joint inspections with the general contractor to check for any punch list to be done.
• Evaluates general contractors’ billings.
• Handles all architectural works of general contractors until turnover and final acceptance of the client.
• Ensures the projects meet the schedule, budget, and approved specifications and plan.
• Ensures the implementation of the overall project safety protocols and standards.
• Ensures the implementation of the quality plans and objectives of the department and project assignment.
• Overseeing/monitoring of daily work activity at the project site.
• Issue a non-compliance report for work deviation or failure to meet the quality standard.
• Inspect and report the quality and progress of work and ensure the timely completion of the project.
• Synthesize comprehensive monthly reports and updates to upper management.
• Prepares a project schedule by using MS Project or MS Excel.
• Attend construction coordination meetings with the client, contractors, and consultants.
• Organized and chair meetings to the project team to address administrative and technical issues and concerns on project work execution.
• Participate in the technical trade discussion with the project team, contractors, and consultants to address issues and concerns.
• Overall responsible for the quality, cost, and schedule of architectural finishes.
• Assists the design manager from concept design to construction stage in accordance with the standards and codes pertinent to the type of project.
• Checks shop drawings submitted by the general contractor.
• Attend internal design coordination meetings with the teams and design manager.
• Creating designs and highly detailed drawings using computer-aided design applications.
• Conduct research for codes, policies, standards, and materials needed in the design development stage.
• Traveling weekly to project sites, proposed locations, and technical working meetings.
• Making design and calculation for all architectural aspects of site development plans in accordance with the design guidelines issued by the Royal Commission of Yanbu, Engineering and Architectural Division.
• Responsible for the quality control of drawings in accordance with the established CAD standards of workmanship and sensitive to drawing details.
• Conduct design review for architectural and civil drawings in accordance with the latest IBC, NFPA, and other codes and standards.
• Communicating with other trades and incorporating engineering design into drawings and notify all concerned teams with the changes.
• Ensuring final designs are compliant with building regulations.
• Coordinates with other consultants, material suppliers in relation to project accomplishments.
• Prepare concept boards and design presentations.
• Draft plans/layouts/shop drawings for project design proposals, implementation, and project hand over as required by design consultants and project team for the approval of the design to the engineering manager as coordinated by the project coordinator.
• Lists bill of quantities as shown on plans.
• Conducts quality assurance checking on drawings, details, specifications, and list of BOQ.
• Maintain drawing and documents data based.
• Produce a 3D model for visualization and to check clashes of utilities.
• Attend internal meetings to the company as needed.
• Conducting site inspection and measurement when needed.
• Revise drawings and layouts to accommodate changes and enhancements.
• Prepare supporting documentation that includes products materials and dimensions.
• Distribute drawings to other engineering internal departments.
• Review and validate as-built drawings.
• Work with CAD systems creating, modifying, and releasing drawings and word drawings under the direct supervision of the Senior Architect.
• Work closely with the consultants to ensure that the drawings convey the correct information and details.
• Self-check for completeness, accuracy, compliance to standards, fits, and stack-ups.
• Work from drawings, sketches or scanned images, customer drawings, or government drawings or specifications.
• Use the accepted drawing standards in Saudi Arabia as guidelines.
• Attend internal meetings to the company as needed.
• Prepares shop/details drawing, installation details & as-built drawing.
• Coordinates with other engineers in the preparation of plans and details.
• Prepare 3D models when needed for visualization.
• Prepare architectural drawings including conceptual drawings, detailed design drawings, and as-built plans using AutoCAD.
• Maintain proper storage of drawings and CAD files.
• Liaise with document controller to facilitate submission of site folders and drawings.
• Create design development and detailed design drawings for project proposals, implementation and hand over as required by design manager for the approval of the design by the general manager and the owner as coordinated to the project director.
• Quality assurance checking on drawings, details, labels, and general notes.
• Keep a directory of drawings up to date and documented.
• Supports senior designers of all disciplines and trades through a variety of tasks including proposal drawings and sketches.
• Communicating potential design issues to the consultants.
• Conducting research for materials and suppliers, installer when required.
• Updating software, drawings, and other documents.
• Visiting sites to gather information, and determine limitations and feasibility of designs.
• Producing rough sketches and using CAD software to prepare detailed drawings, plans, and design proposals.
• Interpreting project briefs and meeting with clients, engineers, and architects to ensure all plans and technical drawings are completed on time.
• Coordinates with the surveyor, site engineers/architects, engineering consultants in the preparation of drawings and details.
• Carry-out survey and collect vital information such as site dimension and a sketch of lease area necessary to prepare CD, DD.
• Prepares working drawings for tendering, for permits, and for construction including estimates and technical specifications.
• Resolve difficult, complex, or potential design issues.
• Prepares presentation materials such as lay-out, perspective, swatches, and mood boards.
• Conduct site inspection for planning and layout and to verify the accuracy of the approved design finishes and furniture selection.
• Adapt the creative concept of interior aesthetics base on client briefs and expectations.
• Attends design coordination meetings with the other allied professionals and clients for design issues and updates.
• Develop concept and schematic design intent packages and guidelines for retail store areas, starting from sketch ideas, inspiration images, and words, showing prototypes as needed.
• Assists Senior Architect in other documentation to meet the clients' needs.
