• Strategic planning and legal compliance, determine the strategies and plans to be used in the planning department in order to deliver the most efficient result by investigating the latest trends in the field of planning and implement appropriate best practices in the organization.
• Operational Reporting and Data Management, proper coordination and communication with the Top Management and the whole organization. Review and approve all reports in compliance to the standards and to improve continuously in order to make the organization a learning performance organization.
•R eview and approve all planning requirements to ensure compliance and to improve continuously in order to maintain office facilities for business continuity.
• Lead the planning department team and ensure sustainability of daily operations.
• Overall day to day management of the Department activities, including: planning, organizing, implementing, controlling and follow-up.
• Serve as the point of contact for customers on contractual matters.
• Identify resource requirements for projects awarded to GTGC and to the departments and ensure resource utilization on projects is productive and efficient.
• Attend project kickoff, review meetings, weekly progress meetings and Management review meetings.
• Ensure operational processes, tools, policies, guidelines, etc are communicated, understood and followed resulting in consistency across GTGC Planning & Contracts Department.
• Maintain contractual records and documentation such as receipt and control of all contract correspondence, customer contact information sheets, contractual changes, status reports and other documents for all projects.
• As needed, provide guidance on contract matters to project managers or other operational staff, including training to new project managers and other employees in contracting practices and procedures.
• Handle on-going issues and change management.
Produce pre-design, procurement, construction and completion programmes.
Preparation of resource and cost loaded planning programmes.
Produce resource histograms for manpower & S-Curves.
Provide actual progress status and forecast.
Preparation of the progress reports as per company procedures
Coordinate and liaise with project manager and stakeholders to update the project programmes.
Evaluate and analyze the progress through updated status reports in various formats based on the contract programme in order to provide performance assessment and accurate forecasts.
Participate in progress and coordination meetings in order to discuss the project status. To provide recommendations when actual progress deviates from scheduled progress in order to re-align to an on time completion.
Liaise with the Project Director/manager and the rest of the site team regarding the causes of delays in programme of works in order to claim time extension.
Claim arrangement due to contract conditions.
