Our team is responsible for radio network planning of USA Sprint project which are cost efficient planning of new sites and optimization of all existing sites which includes but not limited to radio coverage planning, sites nomination and cluster dimensioning, cluster optimization, network traffic and capacity planning, radio propagation tuning, agoop data utilization and network roll-out strategy.
• Responsible for seamless radio coverage target of USA Sprint.
• Responsible for low cost yet highly efficient network roll out planning.
RF Engineer(Radio Network Performance)

Our team was responsible for network performance improvement and optimization benchmarking, high traffic important area periodic report, and optimization consultancy of Ericsson(FDD-2.1GHz 15M, FDD-1.7GHz), NSN(FDD 2.1GHz 15M), and Huawei(TDD-2.5G 20M, FDD-1.7GHz 10M) sites in Japan(esp. for key cities like Tokyo, Tokai, and Tohoku) for Softbank Group(Softbank, eAccess Mobile, Willcom).
• Responsible for WCDMA and LTE network analysis for network performance improvement. This includes call drop analysis, Low throughput analysis, unneccessary LTE to WCDMA redirection analysis, low PRB and SINR degradation analysis, and other network performance analysis to secure balanced and efficient network perfomance. These were done by reviewing drive test results, analyzing events through Layer 3 messages, determining root causes and its best solutions, tuning of parameters and counters configurations, investigating RF conditions and KPI data, adjusting physical parameters(sectorization, tilting, azimuth repanning) and proposal of new site or/and SFN.
• Handled research study for enhancemnent of client’s network mobility performance(Idle Mode and Connected Mode), Throughput improvement performance(including study for cell edge user), network frequency layering, network coverage and capacity planning and other network improvements through network parameters configuration study and tuning(timers, counters, tresholds, and features activation switches), KPI statistics analysis(different KPIs for for Mobility, Integrity, Accessibility, Traffic, Retainability and other PLMN related) related to specific analysis, and RF basic optimization(tilting, SFN, new antennas, azimuth repanning, antenna height adjustment, and etc.)
• Handled research study and test trial on advance radio and performance technologies such as Power Control, VOLTE, Inter-Cell Interference Coordination (ICIC), Carrier Aggregation(CA), Mobility Load Balancing (MLB;Load&Blind), MIMO (4X4) and Uplink Timing Control.
Evalutate the effect(pros and cons) of implementing these new features/technologies as well as provide recommendations and proposals for well investigated values for parameters thereshold, timers & counters, switch activation and etc.
• Optimization of Self Organizing Network(SON) newest technologies and features such as Automatic Neighbor Relation(ANR), and Mobile Robustness Optimization(MRO).
• KPI Analysis and Benchmarking(important ie: Accesibility -> SSSR, RRC SSR / Retainability -> SARR, Data Call Drop Rate, ERAB Abnormal Release / Traffic -> CU #, ACU, MCU, DL CU / Mobility -> Intra HO SR, Inter HO SR / Integrity -> DL User TP, UL User TP / PLMN Related -> Call Drop Rate
• Submitting Monthly Benchmarking reports per Area center of improvements(includes PRB&Load Condtion Analysis, Expected Average PRB Available, RLF Analysis, Accesibility Analysis, Low throughput Analysis, UL & DL performance and etc.)
