Previously in the role of Relationship Manager with Corporate Credit & Marketing (upto March 2012) - Managing a part of the Bank’s portfolio, being clients (High Net Worth individuals representing approximately 40% of total portfolio) with facilities of over RO 500, 000 (~ USD 1.5M), including preparation of credit applications and studies, discussions with Risk Management Division, credit analysis, customer care, site visits, liaison with the client directly, maintenance of the accounts, etc. Current portfolio size exceeds RO 200, 000, 000 (~ USD 520, 000, 000)
Also includes identification of potential new clients for the bank, expanding the business opportunities with existing clients, maintaining a professional and courteous relationship with the points of contact and ensure the client is upto date with any and all progressions regarding the accounts &/or the market opportunities.
Currently in the role of Business Development Manager with SME Business Banking-
Managing a part of the Bank’s Small & Medium Enterprises portfolio with the newly launched department (also in liaison with the Ministry of Commerce & Industry and Oman Development Bank on the 50% Government Guaranteed Program) with facilities upto RO 500, 000 (~ USD 1.5M). Conducting trainings, workshops and seminars for both clients and CSRs (branch staff). Preparing the necessary forms, manuals, policies and procedures applicable in order to establish a strong service model for a new unit. Preparing periodic progress and status reports to BoD and Higher Management.

Compliance Officer at Bank of Beirut

Managing the Bank's Compliance with regards to daily AML and transaction monitoring, periodic Compliance reviews and sporadic Compliance checks bankwide. Conducting AML and Compliance training for Bank staff to ensure understanding of banking requirements. Follow up and liaison with regulatory authorities on Compliance and AML related issues.

Responsibilities also included temporarily from the period of January 2009 to May 2010 (due to urgent need) heading the Credit Admin Department which including preparation of facility agreements for the clients, managing a small team of Credit Admin Officers, ensuring files are managed and well kept, liaison between Oman Branches and the HO in Beirut, liaison between the Relationship Managers and the client as well as full custody of the security database. Creation and upkeep of databases bankwide including logs pertaining to Corporate Banking, Retail Banking and other departments. Additionally, preparing policies and procedures for Credit Administration and ensuring Corporate Banking Division is in line with their requirements.

In 2006, I requested a transfer to Corporate Banking Division in order to expand my horizons and gain some experience in front office / business side of the Banking Industry. Upon departure from National Bank of Oman, my duties included maintaining banking relationships with the current corporate clients of the Bank. Sales and Marketing of all new corporate products. This includes regular customer visits, training sessions and traveling to branch networks.
