A. Duties and responsibility of Senior Radiographer
1 Doing all the musculoskeletal ultrasound and X-ray exams required.
2 Doing the entire CT, M.R.I procedures related to musculoskeletal practice and DEXA procedures.
3 Training of the radiology staff on different modalities.
4 Create imaging department polices, procedures and manuals.
5 Undertake practical scanning, development of scanning protocols and participates in research projects.
6 Development and maintenance of techniques and protocols in keeping with service and research needs.
7 Participate in the provision of an equipment servicing, quality assurance and monitoring programmed.
8 Development of an open access scanning service ensuring appropriate appointment scheduling.
9 Maintain a high professional and technical standard of work within the department.
10 Participate in audit and research projects if required such as (DEXA scan public screening)
11 Implementation of a comprehensive training program for multidisciplinary radiography staff and students.
12 Participate in clinical and departmental meetings.
13 Involvement in the implementation and progress of a continuing education program for radiographic staff.
14 Responsible for ensuring high standards of patient care at all times within the Department.
15 Evaluation for new modalities purchasing and gives justifications letters.
16 Preparation of finical planes of imaging department.
17 Evaluate new imaging sources in side the region.
18 Interviewing the medical imaging radiologist, technologist for recruitment.
19 Handling the daily, monthly and yearly statistics for imaging departments.
B. Duties and responsibility of PACS administrator responsibilities
1 The PACS administrator is responsible for leading the implementation and day to day operations for the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) in EMAAR HEALTHCARE/ The Dubai Mall Medical Centre, Arabian ranches and Meadows clinic.
1 As a radiology supervisor with full control responsibility.
2 Licensed from DOMH as radiation radiology safety officer.
3 Managing the PACS in the department &follow up.
4 Doing all the X-ray exams required.
5 Doing the entire CT, M.R.I procedures related to musculoskeletal practice and DEXA procedures.
6 Assist in the ultrasound exams.
7 Create imaging department polices, procedures and manuals.
