- Developing, managing and leading global sourcing strategies across company facility and capital equipment related spend totaling AED 150M to AED 250M and 650+ vendors.
- Key responsibilities include strategy development, strategic sourcing, risk assessment mitigation, rate cost reduction and terms negotiation, supplier performance and relationship management.
- Integrated facilities management (IFM) outsourcing, MRO supplies, architectural services, engineering services, environmental services, construction management, manufacturing and laboratory capital equipment and services, asset disposal and other related facilities and capital equipment spend.
- Price benchmarking and trends, major risk analysis and mitigation plans, profile of current providers and their performance, incumbent’s decisions around supplier classifications and future awards to existing and targeted new suppliers and technologies.
- Manage project teams (including managers) in the delivery of aggressive total cost reduction commitments through the identification, development and execution of high visibility, value capture initiatives across all sub-categories of spend defined above.
- Develops all supplier negotiation strategies and tactics.
- Ensures establishment of favorable contractual arrangements (e.g. AMCs, MSAs, SOWs, NDAs…) while incorporating expected performance, quality, service and security standards for individual facility and capital equipment spend categories.
- Creates and leads a strategic supplier management process targeting deep relationships with select top tier operations suppliers that focuses on governance (e.g. metrics review, structured feedback, joint problem solving, simplification, reduced variation and overall cost and quality improvements), business results, and speed.
- Decision to drive/lead general Supplier affairs, e.g. Claim Management, Analysis of potential Suppliers and resourcing, Financial Improvement Processes etc.
- Provides advice, guidance, technical support and asset expertise to all sites departmental offices on matters concerning engineering procurement such as scopes of work, evaluations, negotiations and engineering contracts.
- Delivering budget control/management of annual cost reduction targets.
- Direct and co-ordinate centrally the purchase logistics of engineering spares, services/outsourcing and indirect materials to achieve cost effective purchases and hold optimal inventory to avoid material outage.
- Lead engineering tendering procedures in-line with established company-wise tender policy, assuring relevant data and information are compiled during the tender development phase and made available to tender committee members.
- Lead and direct purchase KPIs and monitor to ensure the effectiveness of deployment of engineering purchase policies, strategies and objectives.
- Lead the development of department UAE nationals’ employees as per company’s PDP resulting in achievement of company’s and governmental objectives.

- To manage strategic and advanced purchasing activities within the given sub-commodity (engineering assets, spare parts & company-wise engineering services/outsourcing), while ensuring compliance with overall objectives and strategies of the company in order to maintain & improve the rapid growth of DUCAB and its joint ventures.

- To assist department senior managements in formulating and preparing business models, common process/strategies deployment, CEA’s and budgets in support to the Company’s short, medium and long term objectives,
- Support the evolution of engineering purchase best practices and ability to manage change across the organization, and, in partnership with BU leadership and strategic suppliers, move the enterprise to the next higher level of sourcing and procurement results,

- This position is responsible for leading and managing the process of procuring engineering spare parts, engineering services/outsourcing and company-wise engineering assets while assuring the achievement of best combined outcome of costs, risk and performance in consistent with central purchasing policy and business requirements.
- Lead the establishment and interpretation of engineering purchases policies & procedures for the operation of engineering purchases hence bring about increased operational effectiveness.
- Direct and co-ordinate centrally the purchase logistics of engineering spares, services/outsourcing and indirect materials to provide cost effective purchases, to hold optimal inventory and to avoid material outage across all sites.
- Lead and establish a full functioning engineering purchases risk assessment processes to identify, analyze, treat and monitor the risks and highlight to management as and when appropriate.
- Support production schedules by setting-up well established systems of engineering purchasing principles hence ensuring the availability of spares and services as and when required.
- Lead the coordination of engineering purchases activities with engineering and manufacturing departments.
- Establish and manages the facilitation of pre-award surveys and supplier evaluations.
- Develop company wide engineering purchases KPIs and monitor to ensure effectiveness of deployment of engineering purchase policies.
- Organize analytical reports from Maximo (hence forth from SAP) to enable root cause analysis and performance improvement.
- Organize purchasing and operational audits to ensure compliance and review of procedures and work instructions.
