Being associated as Manager in Group Internal Audit in Habib Bank AG Zurich, I am reporting to Head of Internal Audit and involved in audit of core banking activities of the Bank e.g. Finance, Treasury, Accounting and Reconciliation (including purchasing), Compliance (FATCA, Client On-boarding), Centralized Trade Finance, Operational Risk Management, Bank branch operations and other areas of banking.

I am directly involved in carrying out audits and preparing reports covering a variety of risks in the following jurisdictions:
- Zurich - UAE - Canada
- South Africa - Kenya
- United Kingdom - Pakistan
Responsibilities as Internal Auditor:

• Planning audit projects for the timely and effective execution of different audit assignments in several geographical zones.
• Performing detailed review of the credit portfolio at the branch level and at the zonal level in different countries and at the bank level. Further, responsible for the audit of the Risk Management Department in Pakistan.
• Involved in the preparation, updation and maintenance of the audit programs based on the identification of the bank’s risk appetite, key risk indicators, risk mitigation, internal control environment and residual risk.
• Conduct audit of core banking functions and analytical reviews at Zonal, Head Office and also at Branch level by using specialist and technical skills.
• Identification of risks, Control gaps within the process and providing valuable recommendations.
• Drafting of Audit reports, follow up on responses and ensure appropriate action is taken to implement agreed audit recommendations.
• Discuss and communicate audit results to the appropriate level within the business, taking into account cultural and personal sensitivities as necessary, and provide a final risk assessment to Audit Head.
• Ensure that documentation relating to Working Papers and in support of audit findings is recorded / archived appropriately for future reference.
• Preparation and updating of the Audit database.
• Linking Audit observations with Risks involved, assessing the probability and impact of risks on the bank's operations
