Foreign purchasing Lead buyer - Al BARDI PAPER MILL CO.

Receiving spare parts & raw material requests from enginering & production department
Contacting suppliers to get offers & find new suppliers .
Negotiate on prices & all the commercial terms .
Prepare a decision matrix to choose the best offer.
Issuing the Purchase orders .
Following up the supplier till the readiness of the goods, getting the order confirmation, check all the details mentioned in it & determine the delivery date.
Arranging the shipping with the forwarding company.
Following up the shipping with the shipping company till goods delivery by receiving the shipping details showing ETA, ETD, of the vessel or the HAWB & MAWB in case of the air shipments .
Following the supplier to secure receiving the original documents .
Deliver the documents to the customs clearance employee & follow up with him till the arrival of the goods .
Delivering the packing list to the store keeper upon the arrival of the goods.
Make sure that the goods arrived in a good condition & identical to the ordered items .
Make suppliers evaluation for each shipment .
Follow up the payment by sending the due invoices to the accounting department, bring the telex transfer from the bank & send copy of the telex transfer to the supplier.
Making claims with the supplier or to the insurance company if necessary in case of shortage in the supplied quantity & supplying of defected parts .
Negotiating & follow up the supplier till the arrival of either the missing parts or the goods pars .
Maintain a history record for all the purchased items.

Raw Material
• Assist and contribute in planning, developing and implementing the requirment and rquisition plan for both the Supply, Demand and the Production departments, to ensure meeting the agreed upon organizational performance plans within alocated budgets and lead-times (covering requesting timings, minimum order quantities, issuing purchasing orders & distribution amoung 3 different plants).
• Coordinating with the suppliers the quantinites of the suppleied materials and the terms of delivery, Handeling the received requisition by arranging with suppliers the supply of the materials & terms of deliveries.
• Negotiating Payment Terms, Delivery methods & setting the required documentations for goods clearance.
• Follow-up on shipments arrivals & documentations receival.
• Follow-up on the clearance procedures & ensuring the arrival of the materials in good terms to the sites
• Co-operating in setting the department Budget.
• Represent the procurement director at meetings upon his request.
• Ensure the proper and necessary document preparation in accordance to the scope of the meeting.
• Review and consolidate section operational documents and reports.
• Key User of Oracle application in Purchasing department, responsible for setting & creating the Master supplier data.
• Co-ordinating amoung Different departments (Supply & Demand, IT, Warehouses & Logistics and Finance) the implementation of the application process & ensuring smooth operation.
Packaging
• Plans Local Procurement in line with production plan, Sales targets & Stock levels with the organization.
• Analyses information received from buyer’s inorder to determine & recommend optimal local suppliers as well as processes to be applied effectively meet business requirements.
