Project Title: FFCL Annual Turnaround 2014
Client: Fatima Fertilizer Company Limited, Pakistan
The jobs included maintenance and overhauling of stationary & rotary equipments, modification and piping fabrication works. Major responsibilities included;
• Proposal preparation of maintenance and modifications / retro-fit jobs
• Preparation of mobilization plans, resource deployment sheets & organization charts
• Preparation of Job Plan on Primavera Project Planner & updating progress during execution
• Close co-ordination with client for IFC drawings and material issuance
• Complete involvement during execution works, for resource sharing and completion of jobs according to the quality and safety standards
Project Title: UCH Gas Annual Turnaround 2013
Client: Oil and Gas Development Company Limited
(OGDCL), Pakistan
Major jobs included maintenance and overhauling of Static Equipments (Heat Exchanger, Vessels and Columns) Rotary Equipments and Mechanical valves. Major responsibilities were;
• Cost estimation and proposal preparation during bidding stage
• Estimation of Work Scope & Development of WBS based on concept drawings
• Preparation of Level III and Level IV plan on Primavera and monitoring of activities during execution
• Inspection of Static equipments (Heat Exchanger, Columns, re boiler)
• Close liaison with execution team for smooth progression of shutdown activities
• Manage and control all procurement activities for assigned project, ensuring procurement of material through best possible sources at competitive prices in accordance with technical specifications and project schedule
• Responsible for arranging contractors for all subcontracted works of assigned projects. Main works includes general civil works, NDT services, painting and surface protection, specialized jobs, insulation, HVAC works, MEP works for buildings etc.
• Undertake negotiation of contracts, including terms & conditions and pricing and delivery, monitor contractors' performance, measure work in progress and propose and negotiate changes to enhance contractors' support to the project
• Formulate FIDIC based agreements/Contract documents
• Making monthly progress and saving reports of all subcontracting works for projects in different business areas of Descon including overseas projects (Qatar & UAE)
• Monitor the consumption of budget with respect to subcontracting
• Developing and maintaining efficient and cost effective Imports and Exports operations, for import and export of machinery, materials and other items in liaison with Coordinator Imports & Exports, technical evaluations for obtaining specific SRO’s

Worked as Maintenance Engineer in Plant Engineering and Maintenance Department at Dawlance Private Limited. Key responsibilities included general maintenance and providing utilities (Compressed Air and Electricity) to the plant, Failure Data Analysis for updating Preventive Maintenance Plan, strategies to improve time between failures and running of Effective Preventive Maintenance Plans
Worked as Management Trainee in Millat Equipment Limited, Pakistan ( A sister concern of Millat Tractors Limited, leading tractor manufacturers of Pakistan). I was placed in Quality Assurance department. My core responsibilities were to deal with the quality of product (incoming parts, quality checks on manufacturing line and quality of final products. I was also involved in monitoring of the processes for continual improvement of efficiencies.
Learned the basic concepts of Directional drilling applications and surveying, Formation Evaluation measurements and basic interpretation techniques, and Importance of Data mining
Worked in Maintenance department and Power Plant section, where I learned in detail about the turbo machinery (Compressors, Pumps and Turbines)
Worked in Project management and Design Department, learned in detail about the P&ID’s and worked with other Engineers on HRSG Boiler.
Worked as a summer Internee at different departments of Honda including Paint Shop, Welding Shop, Assembly area and Engine Shop. Here I focused on the working and assembling of various engine parts of an automobile. I also worked in the Waste Water Recovery Plant of the industry where I learned about the importance of keeping environment safe and green.
I got Scholarships in all semesters for being high acheiver. Final Year thesis got published as “Harnessing Hydro Power with Kaplan Hydro Turbine" with LAP Lambert International Publishing, Germany.
