- Raw and packaging material purchasing from local and overseas suppliers.
- Purchasing of Major production machinery.
- Purchasing of semi-finished products from sister companies and toll manufacturers.
- Performing detailed comparison studies on the commercial and technical aspects of equipment being purchased. Contributing in the preparation of feasibility studies. Maintenance of “Approved Suppliers Lists” for different types of machines and instruments. Involvement in the preparation of User Requirements Specifications.

- Purchasing of all non-stock items including: Minor machinery, laboratory instruments, plant and laboratory consumables and standards.
- Performing IT hardware/software purchases.
- Performing furniture and office equipment purchases.
- Follow up on shipping, clearance and regulatory documentation of all purchases.
Major Projects:
SAP Supply Chain Enhancement Project: Member of the Business Core Team representing Purchasing Department functions. Building of master data concerning materials and vendors; developing safety stocks and reorder levels for raw and packaging material; improving the as-is process towards a more efficient to-be process followed by developing business blueprint for all processes within the Department; all with the ultimate goal of making the MRP function applicable, efficient and effective. This was a strategic project within the company and the MRP function was the most important highlight within the project, especially with regards to purchasing.
Development of MENA CAPEX Department: Member of a cross-functional team developing a new department within Hikma Group responsible for purchasing of major equipment (machinery and instruments) for all MENA sites, with the aim of gaining strategic advantage over equipment suppliers in addition to building synergies between sites in terms of spare parts, maintenance and qualification.
- Implementing ISO 9001 standards and applying modification within the factory to be in compliance with the relevant regulations.
- Supervision of QA and QC officers.
- Preparation of new procedures for Planning, Production, and Purchasing Departments.
- Preparation of Job Descriptions for ABC Bank (Jordan), Arab Potash Co. (Jordan), Abdullah Fuad Holding Group (KSA)
- Preparation of Policies and Procedures Manual for Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission
