• Evaluate of SOW and technical specifications.
• Performs field assignments involving the development, execution, supervision, and coordination of all technical aspects of a construction project.
• Supervises Construction supervision team.
• Monitors and coordinates all contractors' activities for assigned area.
• Collaborates with construction management to eliminate any hazards associated with the work
• Establishes and maintains liaison with the discipline design engineering staff.
• Reviews and interprets discipline design drawings and specifications to ensure current revision level and correct technical execution of the work.
• Provides resolution for technical engineering problems within the assigned discipline(s).
• Monitors material procurement and deliveries to ensure timeliness in support of construction activities and schedule.
• Design review for Substation buildings and foundations.
My duties includes but not limited to; Design review for Over Head Transmission Lines Route Plan, plan and Profile, steel structure, Soil investigation, Foundations, materials and mix design. In addition, design review for under-ground cable tunnels and trenches, design review for substations. Furthermore, attending kick off meetings, design review meeting and conducting site visits for new projects.
During my work with SEC I had received two (2) certificates of appreciation in recognition of my performance, contribution and achievements. The first one was in May 2012 two months after I joined the company and the second certificate was in January 2013 in recognition of my outstanding performance, hard work and achievements in the year 2012.
Design of multi-storey buildings, prepare bill of quantities, supervision of site work, review project quality plan and documentation requirements; ensure completeness of project documentation for project close out; overseeing job performance of Quality Control Inspectors for the project inspection requirements; review field inspection; coordination compilation of documents for final documentation; coordination all procedures required for the project; issue/compile all Non-Conformance Reports for the project; review; develop and establish overall project master implementation program including cost, monitor physical progress of works including cost of works expended and review variances affecting works program as targeted and identify potential delay of activities and review and report on critical status for resolution.
Furthermore, preparing bar bending schedule,
Supervision of site work, design and or revising design, prepare quality plan and prepare technical specification for multi story buildings, transmission lines and substations. Furthermore, revising design and drawing up EPCC tender documents, issuing invitation to bid and bid evaluation; contract award recommendation; for transmission lines, substations and multi story buildings and communication towers, inspection and commissioning of transmission lines and substations. In addition, I was the site civil engineer and the site manager for Communication Building Project- a three multi story building- .Moreover; I was assistant project manager for Kilo X housing complex project and assistant site manager for Jabal Awlia Rest House project. Furthermore, Revising and approval of design, participate design review meetings, participate tender negotiations for power stations, day to day follow up and supervision of civil and survey works including; survey works, soil investigation, foundations, concrete structures, steel structures, chimney, cooling towers, finishing works and roads. Beside that it was my duty to follow up, supervise and approval of all laboratory tests and on site tests.. It was also my duty to share knowledge with apprentices and hand out projects to assist their learning. Additionally, I was assisting site engineers for power station and transmission lines.
