- Apart from managing patients on an OPD basis, I also undertake presentations/awareness programmes as part of the CSR activities of the corporate clients of the group.
- In addition to my role as a physician, my added responsibilities include:
i. Participation in the recruitment and selection process of the staff.
ii. Clinical supervision of medical staff, including regular performance appraisals and feedback alongwith clinic scheduling and leave for the staff.
iii. Advises on purchase of medical equipment.
iv. Reviews clinical and patient care contracts for services provided to or by the medical centre.
v. Serves as a liaison between medical staff and administration.
vi. Represents the medical centre at Dubai Health Authority and other government entities as well as local medical societies, hospitals, professional organizations, groups and agencies.
vii. Advises on schedules of fees/discounts to be charged and also about the marketing strategies to be followed for the development of patient base.
viii. Participates, in conjunction with the management team, in the overall budget planning and monitoring
ix. Reviews patient complaints.
x. Ensure that the medical centre and its staff follow and abide by the ethics of the medical profession and also all the applicable federal and local laws and all other policies as appropriate.

Part time physician for the staff of the group
My duties at the hospital included: i. Managing the patients on an outpatient basis. ii. Managing the patients on an inpatient basis. iii. Managing the critically ill patients in the ICU/CCU wards of the Hospital. iv. Also used to manage the staff & workers of the hospital in the absence of the medical director. v. Prepare the hospital for inspections by the relevant authorities as & when required.
Housemanship was done in various specialties in the teaching hospitals that are under the management of Dubai Health Authority (DHA) & the Primary Health Care Centres run by the Ministry Of Health (MOH), Federal Government of United Arab Emirates.
Completed PG Dip in Diabetology offered by the University of Leicester, UK in April 2016. The University of Leicester is ranked within the top 2% of universities in the world (QS World University Rankings 2011)
Completed MD in General Medicine (Gold Medalist) from Shri BM Patil Medical College & Research Centre (SBMPMCRC), Bijapur, in April 2013, part of BLDE university – a premier university of northern Karnataka, Republic of India. Was posted to Sri Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences & Research Centre (SJICSR), Bangalore, Karnataka, India & The National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS), Bangalore, Karnataka, India for a total period of 4 months for further exposure in cardiology & neurology during MD coursework.
During MBBS coursework, clinical training was done in Gulf Medical College Hospital & Research Centre (GMCHRC), Ajman, Mafraq Hospital, Abu Dhabi and Central Hospital, Abu Dhabi. Attended 4 months of outreach medical training programme in Sri Ramachandra Medical College Hospital & Research Centre (SRMCHRC), Chennai, India (Organized by Gulf Medical College (GMC), Ajman).
