•Accountable for the implementation of strategies, goals and objectives for the Port Workforce; by means of following agreed medium/short-term plans and programs;
•Plans the workforce strategic direction for Port Services, and ensure alignment with resource utilization standards and the Port Services overall business plan and strategy.
•Develop Succession Planning in line with corporate policies; to ensure jobs covered by adequate skills and experience people to maintain safe and efficient operations, and to improve employee commitment, retention and reduce turnover.
•Promote workforce-planning initiatives; to support Port Operations for the appropriate level of organizational capability to meet future business needs.
• Provides solutions to Port Services’ management team on significant employee relations matters.
• Develop existing process and actions’ workforce related through applying Lean Six Sigma methodology, and ensure the continuous improvement within Port Services.
•Responsible for developing the annual Manpower Planning budget and Retirement Plan for Port Services Department aligned with the company organizational structure.
•Manage the Labour Management System (ROSTIMA LMS) to produces the required results against required quality standard within the specified constraints of time and cost.
•Lead and motivate Port Workforce Planner team and ensure that effective workforce management, staffing and resource planning processes are in place to support smooth operations;
•Exercise management authority for Workforce Planning Team; sets their annually performance objectives, conducts performance reviews and recommends pay decisions as per company policies, recruitment, discipline, termination and other personnel actions.
•Coach direct subordinates, identify their training and career development, recommend appropriate training courses and monitor their personnel records e.g. timesheets, discipline, vacations and absenteeism.
• Undertake initiatives and projects relating to the development of Port Services’ workforce.
• Adopt the usage of PI/PRO “Predictive Index” and PLI “Professional Learning Indicator” to support the Management team in staff selections and promotions within Port Services;
• Oversees the induction programs for Port’s new hires and ensure well understanding for organization goals.
• Assist in implementing quality management systems within Port Services, Manage and control the contracts which done by General Services department.
•Guide Port Services’ Managers in resolving complex issues in specialized area related to workforce management based on existing solutions and best solutions.
