Al Ain Distribution Company AADC is the sole distributor of Water and Electricity in Al Ain. It is among the top 10 subsidiaries of ADWEA and employs over 1990 staff.

Responsibilities:
• Leading a team of 9, directing the finance portfolio and controlling the company budget.
• Preparing the budget and tracking expenditure to observe variances.
• Applying Maximo system to monitor purchase and contract requisitions, and aligning it with the approved budget.
• Ensuring budget prepared is within the Maximum Allowed Revenue (MAR) as per regulatory bureau. Being a utility based organization AADC has to conform to certain profit limits based on MAR a unique feature of the budget and meet the percentage set for return on assets.
• Generating comparative reports using Oracle Financial and conducting variance analysis to reflect expenditure, and net profits achieved.

Achievements:
• Nominated as ISO Coordinator.
• Controlled operating budgets of AED 2.7 billion and revenue of AED 2.9 billion, managed a capital expenses of AED 68 Mio and administered a development budget of AED 828 Mio.
• Instituted budget guidelines department wise and analyzed data received from each department.
• Drove the initiation and conducted feasibility study of the telecom project amounting to AED 7.5 Mio, installation of the project significantly reduced cost incurred through mobile allowance given to AADC employees.
• Conceived and launched a historical method capturing last 4 year data and projected estimates for future expansion.
• Implemented "cost centre" concept for every expense account, created formats for accurate budgeting, control and accountability.
• Devised KPIs to compare the company performance with other similar organizations.
• Formulated the business plan after extensive research on the expansion program.
• Regulated the accounting and income statements (revenue & expenses) between water and electricity utilities by applying certain allocation base.

• Pioneered the introduction of the cost center concept for every expense account of the budget this lead to more accurate budgeting.
• Originated the historical method by analyzing the previous 4 years expenses and compared it with the activities plan for the next four year vis-a-vis expected expansions, projected manpower expansion plans etc…
• Conceived and designed historical tables for the operational, capital budgets which lead to more realistic budget estimates and control.
