Technical Consultant Saudi Aramco IBM CE
Saudi ARAMCOs onsite infrastructure support.
- General Purpose Backup: ARAMCO is using IBM Spectrum Protect to manage user data
backup on following backend infrastructure.
IBM Enterprise Automated Tape Libraries & Tape Drives, IBM V7000 Storage system, IBM
system X, IBM SAN switches, RHEL & IBM spectrum scale.
Seismic data Backup & Archival Project: Seismic data in a raw form first comes from field and
then processed, both types of data storage managed by IBM Spectrum Protect on backend with
following backend infrastructure.
IBM Enterprise Level Automated Tape Libraries, Tape Drives & Tape shuttles, IBM SAN Directors
& TSLM.
Tape Migration Project: ARAMCO is moving their old data from obsolete tapes (IBM J & K
Enterprise tapes) to latest IBM tapes (JD tapes) using following backend infrastructure.
IBM Enterprise level Automated Tape Library with Tape drives, IBM Power 6 Systems & IBMSAN
switches
Power_ 8 project :Aramco is using four power 8 machines to extend the current work load of IT Dep .
- Daily meetings with ARAMCO teams regarding, ongoing problems, new installations
planning & implementation, changes in current environment Etc.
- PMs & HCs.
-Performance & Equipment testing.
-Meeting and Handling all discussion with Vfe & pfe, development
HPC cluster support : provide remote support and action plan to BP so support IBM and LNV HPC cluster consists
of 3000 nodes and 100 SAN switches and 50 TOP rack switches

Technical supports are sometimes known as help desk operators, technicians, maintenance engineers or
install and configure High end tape library TS 3310 @ yesser project
• make design plan and SOW for the new project such as mizuho, ministry of health, ..
• support and mange Aramco contracts 24 X7X 4hr and resident in Aramco for Backup and Archiving
Project also HPC cluster 1410, provide support for Saudi Aramco.
• Provide support for Nutanix systems in ME.
