JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manage and control all documents (manuals, policies, procedures, logs) related to Environmental Health and Safety measures and HACCP and the corresponding reports.
• Periodical review of documents and checklists as per requirement.
• Responsible for conducting inspections and audits to identify hazards and risks at all company premises and operational activities.
• Ensure occupational health card and basic food hygiene training for all employees.
• Managing physical, chemical and microbiological analysis laboratory.
• Monitor and identify relevant changes in EHS, HACCP or local regulations and laws and update the internal procedures, policies and forms accordingly.
• Handling customer complaints related to food safety and quality.
• Liaison with the external regulatory bodies such as Dubai Municipality and EHS- JAFZA to ensure that local laws and regulations are respected.
• Ensure certification and re-certification of HACCP, regulatory and legal requirements.
ACHIVEMENTS
• Successfully completed HACCP re-certification process for Hunter Foods Ltd. FZCO from SGS in September 2012.
• Successfully completed Occupational Fitness Certification (OFC) for Hunter Foods Ltd. FZCO from Jebel Ali Free Zone Authority (JAFZA) in December 2012.
Documentation and implementation of HACCP.
Verification of the personal hygiene and health status of the team and the visitors.
Handling customer complaints related to food safety, service and quality.
Spot check on receiving area to ensure that all food safety criteria and policies are met during the receiving.
Monitoring quality and safety parameters of products and raw materials and to ensure necessary corrective actions in case of non-compliance.
Liaison with auditors of regulatory authorities and franchisor organization.
Conduct monthly trainings on Food Safety and Hygiene in accordance with the policies, rules and guidelines on food safety and hygiene.
Periodic training and coaching of staff during kitchen visits in accordance to guidelines.
Microbiological analysis of samples of raw and processed drinking water, analysis of packaging and contact materials and report to Quality Assurance Manager.
Ensuring personal hygiene and health status of the team and the visitors.
Maintaining and calibration of laboratory equipments and managing day-to-day running of laboratory related business and testing.
Monitoring process during operation to ensure conformity to standards, carryout documentation, implementation and monitoring of quality system in accordance to TCCQS guidelines and as per Government standard and local procedure.
Assisting Quality Assurance Manager in document management and implementation of HACCP and ISO 22000.
ACADEMIC PROJECTS: i. Enzymatic expressions of deep sea bacteria under psychotrophic and mesotrophic conditions, M.Sc dissertation project at National Institute of Oceanography (CSIR), Goa, India. ii. Enzyme activity of deep sea psychrotolerant and mesotolerant bacteria, M.Sc. summer training at National Institute of Oceanography (CSIR), Goa, India.
