After participating in the bid process for more than 5 months, ASU won the bid for the Front of House, Show and Animal Lighting Package the value of the package exceeded 150M AED.

My role is to drive the project into success, coordinate with prominent international specialists, follow up the technical procurement process and make sure to achieve a winning formula for the company by getting the best out of the resources I have.

The project is unique and one of a kind in the region and it is a big boost to my experience.

ASU (www.asu.ae) is the MEP subsidiary of ASGC Group that can handle most of
the construction cycle in-house, giving it a high degree of control on all projects. Presently,
ASU is one of the leading MEP contractors working on independent projects in addition to
ASGC projects.

My role in the estimation department involves technical study for the projects prior to do a
detailed breakdown for cost estimation for materials and labour as per the bill of quantities.

The scale of the projects that ASU works on is always challenging and considered the high-
end in the market.

I was appointed in the technical site office for City Centre Al Zahia Shopping Mall project in Sharjah, UAE (https://www.alzahia.ae/).
My role involved on-site engineering including preparing material submittals, raising RFIs, reviewing shop drawings, issuing site orders and material schedules, coordinating with the main and other sub-contractors’ engineers, attending meetings with the consultant, suppliers, main contractor and the client in addition to supporting site engineers.
Further to my engineering role above I was also given the task to deliver the MEP works for 350 retail units to the tenants and their fit-out contractors along with the main contractor’s Tenant Liaison Manager.

I was appointed in the MEP design team and I’ve worked on designing various types of projects in the UAE and KSA during my time including residential, commercial and hospitality developments. In my time working with NAGA I became a professional REVIT user and I learned about many aspects within design technologies. Its also was my first job in the UAE and I had the chance to absorb the local regulations and liaison to authorities such as DEWA and Etisalat.

o Create concept reports and load estimation for the projects at their concept stage.
o Lighting design, selection of fixtures and calculations.
