Profile: Procurement Manager - Commercial Audit
Prepare standard policies and procedures for the procurement department. Review the subcontract payment applications and procurement packages sent by the project sites and forward to the senior management for approval after verifying the completeness of the documents sent. Conduct periodical audits at project sites to ensure that the company procedures and correct practises are followed by the commercial and procurement departments. Assist the site management regarding commercial and procurement issues. Review procurement logs of projects to verify compliance with the project program and update the senior management and advise the site of the suitable methods to avoid delays and for proper risk management.

Project: Interior Fit-Out & Facility Management projects (circa AED 400 million)
Profile: Commercial Manager
Perform commercial and technical evaluation of the bids and select the subcontractor/ supplier for the interior fit-out, renovation and refurbishment works. Verify and certify subcontractor’s invoices as per actual work done at site and agree on subcontractor’s final account settlement. Assist the Facility Management team to find suitable service providers for Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC) and repair works. Coordinate with the legal department and draft Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and Service Level Agreements (SLA) for the execution of the works.
Project: Fairmont Hotel, Abu Dhabi. (AED 1.10 billion)
Profile: Procurement Manager
Prepare RFQ for packages and select suppliers/ subcontractors based on careful evaluation of the materials and commercial & technical comparisons. Negotiate regarding prices and terms. Manage and allocate work to junior QSs. Draft LOAs and Subcontract agreements in accordance with project requirements and in coordination with the contracts department. Follow company procedures and liaise between the site management and head office to get the required approvals. Provide update to the head office senior management regarding procurement progress, suggesting suitable solutions and methods for effective procurement.
Project: Residential Tower, Al Reem Island, Abu Dhabi. (AED 222 million)
Administered the contract between the contractor and employer and the contractor and subcontractors. Verified subcontractor’s invoices, prepared payment certificates and recommended to the accounts department for payments. Reviewed the variations submitted by subcontractors and issued variation orders to the subcontractors as required. Prepared cost variance report highlighting actual site expenses against budget and differences between forecasted project requirements. Verified requisitions and tracked plant/ material consumptions against budget provision. Submitted interim payment applications and variation/ delay claims to the engineer/ employer. Managed and allocated works to junior QSs and verified their work for accuracy. Coordinated with construction and planning departments to track actual and budgeted labour and plant requirements.
Abu Dhabi Government Future Schools and Interior Fit-Out projects (Project Value - AED 500 million).
Prepare RFQ for packages, get quotes and select suppliers/subcontractors based on careful evaluation of the materials and commercial & technical comparisons. Negotiate price, terms and draft LOIs, Subcontract agreements and LPOs as per project requirements. Issue variation contracts to the subcontractors; prepare variation/delay claims to submit to the consultant/client. Coordinate with the accounts department to collect details of the suppliers/subcontractors and prepare certificates and requisitions to release their payments. Assist the estimation department by providing realistic and best rates for the tendering of new projects.
Multi-storey Commercial & Residential buildings/ Hospital buildings (Project Value - AED 1 billion).
Worked in the procurement activities of multi-storey commercial & residential buildings and hospital projects. Helped attain more profit to the company by finding competitive suppliers with quality products and through price negotiations.
