Warehouse Operations-Distribution-Transportation Management
Responsible for the preparation of monthly warehouse reports and the annual warehouse budget including operational expenses, capital expenditure & manpower.
Comply with supplier's guidelines for storage and for handling inbound shipments. Ensure that all inbound shipments are handled promptly and avoid any demurrage being paid due to late handling of shipments
Enforce proper control to monitor the flow of inbound and outbound product following FIFO principle.
Formulate policies, programs and procedures for transportation system, including schedules, rates, routes, assignment of drivers and vehicles and other terminal operations.
Set operations standards, including determination of safety procedures for the handling of dangerous goods.
Supply Chain Management
Direct supply chain such as sourcing, buying, transport, warehousing and distribution.
Prepare and set up material planning work for goods and materials demanded.
Responsible for managing processes involved in a supply chain and liaise with a variety of parties, including suppliers of raw materials, manufacturers, retailers and consumers.
Looking after the placement of order ensuring timely and effective delivery of shipments with vendors.
Furnishing relevant information to the supplier and with the Finance department on payment details.
Liaising with the forwarders and clearing agent for import or export including local transport.
Constantly following up on the entire process of back order.
Responsible for setting up distribution in local market and free zone. Duties involve converting sales order upon stock availability, costing for margin & GP, deliveries planning or sourcing vehicle from local market, stock reconciliation, inventory control and creating JAFZA transfer document for customer forwarder.
Coordinating export shipment activities to the GCC countries.
Arranging collection by the forwarders or customers designated.
Processing the application for the Chamber of Commerce online including Certification of Conformity through authorize parties by the Public Authority for Industry in Kuwait.
Maintaining updated records of sales, indexes, processes and files for Account Department & Inventory section.
Evaluating the accuracy and completeness of the reports through statistical analysis.
Keeping track on the inventory of materials and supplies and utilizing the company ERP application as well as Microsoft processing functions and automation.
Developed purchase and sales orders for the local international branch.
Liaised with government authorities and ministries including MOE, FAE, MOH, Civil Defence and Dubai Municipality in obtaining approvals for customs clearances.
Oversaw shipment activities, monitored discrepancies and implemented replacement as required.
Secured clearance of nuclear medicines including direct shipment to MOH, DOH and SKMC Hospital and maintained records of the same. Also looked after the shipment marine insurance (ADNIC).
Analyzed the existing purchasing systems & procedures; suggested and enforced improvement to maintain accurate and current purchase order information.
Performed value analysis as necessary to ensure that purchasing function fulfilled at the lowest possible cost.
