Advice on procurement and contractual matters during design development exercise.
Managing the tender process in accordance to the operating procedure, ensuring that the procurement process procedure is strictly adhere to by the consultants and project teams.
Review of the procurement / tender documents to confirm that they are as per the requirement and the scope of work of the project.
Checking of the Bill of Quantities to ensure that it is as per project requirement while making sure that the pre-tender cost estimate are as accurate as possible.
Upon completing the tender process, to prepare management paper and/or board paper for award of contracts.
Monitor and provide recommendation on matters related to post contract administration i.e. payment, variation orders as well as check and review proposed final account.
Nature of projects involves are infrastructure works including earthworks, dredging works, roadwork, construction of marina, office and apartments buildings.
Formulate the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for procurement for the company and to implement continuous improvement review on the SOP

Based at the construction site and was involved in the post contract administration for the Gerbang Selatan Bersepadu, Johor Bahru RM 1.2 Billion-Integrated Custom Immigration and Quarantine Complex (ICIQ), the biggest entry point that connect Malaysia and Singapore.

I was involved in the recommendation of contractors' interim claims, confirmation of variation claims, monthly site evaluation for workdone, and prepare cost estimate for provisional VO whenever required by client.

My role in this company is to support the chartered surveyor in works such as:

1) Taking off quantity - Bill of Quantities, Builders Quantities or Cost Estimates - project involved ranging from Housing to high rise apartments, prison and refurbishment of hospitals and heritage buildings

2)Preparation of Final Account - Analysing cost claims by the contractor for variation, extension of time, verifying their claims and discussion with contractor to agree the cost of claims

3)Project feasibility study - Refurbishment and new building works ranging from inner city flats, high cost apartment and offices

I was in charge of Architectural Precast Concrete production including planning and executing production, procurement of material, casting schedule and ensuring steady supply of concrete
