Setting the yearly expansion plan for Orange DWH with the Business Team.
Participating in setting the DWH roadmap for introducing new technologies like Big Data required for building new complicated analytical models like SNA, Churn Prediction, and Location Base Analysis.
Setting and managing the yearly budget of the BI function.
Monitoring the overall performance of the BI team to ensure their high support to the business.
Managing a BI team who is responsible of the following:
Building and maintaining the company dashboard that monitors the company performance and supports the top management in their decisions
Delivering the required business analytics to all business user to support them in their decision making process
Integrating the DWH to feed other systems like campaign management and CRM
Designing and Developing the BI layer and data marts that supports the analytical requirement
Continuously monitoring and enhancing the BI reporting process.
Ensuring and maintaining the data quality across the whole DWH cycle, by setting the proper checks, rules and alarms.
1- Setting the road map for ITS Telecom Data Warehouse (TDW) & Business Intelligence (BI) solutions.
2- Presenting TDW & BI Solution to ITS Telecom customers.
3- Managing the TDW & BI development and implementation team.
4- Discussing, analyzing, and preparing business requirements with the customers.
5- Setting project scope & identifying the project gaps with customer.
6- Following up & monitoring all running Data Warehousing projects to ensure its successfulness until final delivery to the customer.
1- Managing DWH projects for incorporating new source systems data into DWH.
2- Presenting MobiNil DWH functionalities & Outcome to company executives, directors, senior managers and to our foreign shareholders (Orange Telecom).
3- Ensuring awareness of different company departments with MobiNil DWH by preparing different presentations and demonstrations.
4- Acting as a DWH interface to Marketing, Sales, and Customer Services Department to study and fulfill any of their new requirements.
5- Design the best and optimum architecture of any new DWH solution.
6- Documenting the DWH daily, weekly, and monthly Processes and introducing quality checks techniques to most of these processes.
7- Assessment of business user’s requirement and transforming it to development requirements and documenting the gaps between it and source system capabilities.
8- Managing different DWH vendors.
9- Excellent knowledge in MobiNil Billing System (BSCS), which is the main source for DWH.
10- Excellent experience with BusinessObjects (Reporting Tool) and Ascential DataStage (ETL Tool)
1-Implementing, and customizing the Caliach MRP System as a packaged software solution for the inventory management and purchasing at the GWSA Factory.
2-Designing & Developing the GWSA website (www.glaxowellcome.com.sa/index1.htm), which constitutes the strategic marketing & public relations channel of our company in the future.
3- Designing & Developing of an Intranet site for disseminating daily sales results.
4- Analysis, Design and Development of a Dynamic Report Generator System, which improved and speeded up the access to the HR data by non-IS end-users.
5-The latest technologies were used for developing all the previous systems, like Visual Basic 6.0, ASP, Java, JavaScript, VBScript, HTML4.0, and Access97 as a database engine.
1-Analysis, design, development, training and support of the Automatic Check Clearing System for the Central Bank of Egypt, which speeded up the check collection process in Egypt. Analysis and development was done for both member nodes and the central node.
2-Analysis, design, development, training and support of the Card Issuance System for maintaining the personal of every bank’s cardholders. The application generates cards and PIN numbers for each new client.
3-Pre-sales support for both of the above systems.
4-During my last working year in the company I took over the management of the Automatic Check Clearing System.
4-Visual Basic 5.0, and Visual C++, as well as MS-SQL Server 6.5, and Access 97 as database engines were used in developing the previous two systems.
Developing Web sites for a number of Egyptian organizations and companies using Microsoft FrontPage, Java, and JavaScript.
1-Participated in the development of Al-Alamiah’s popular software programs such as the Quran, and the Hadith.
2-Customer support for software programs developed by our company.
3-Network Administration, and Desktop support for in-house PC's, servers and users.
Maintaining Production Plans, Beta-Cam Videos M/C, and Cameras.
It was a distance learning program
The curriculum contained a set of software engineering related courses, with a graduation project of a web based application for the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
