Senior Executive – Cost Control & Management Accounting at Tamouh Investments

The overall roll is to plan, monitor & control project cost and prepare management accounts to support the management in strategic planning and achieving organizational strategic goals through preparing feasibility studies, assessing and evaluating financial performance, proposing ways to increase profitability, managing budgets, cost, WIP and cash flows.

• To prepare management reports, perform financial analysis and highlight relevant issues with proposed solutions to the management.
• To prepare financial statements, consolidated reports, reconciliations, cash flow projections, budgets and forecasting reports.
• To prepare various project analytical reports such as Project Feasibility & Profitability Studies, budget Vs. Actual Cost, Actual Vs Plan & Forecast for the period, Cost Value Comparison reports, Plan vs. Actual revenue collections e.t.c.
• To manage work in progress (DWIP & CWIP) accounts for assets under construction (AED: 6 billion plus presently) and ensure proper cost allocation and accurate cost capitalization at units level of WIP.
• To assess, allocate & capitalize the borrowing cost to WIP.
• To review & verify payment certificates, RFA’s and cost claims for all projects to ensure budgetary controls and proper allocation of actual cost.
• To perform Impairment studies for WIP and propose provision if necessary.
• To review performance against budgets and prepare variance analysis.
• To prepare, consolidate and control budgets, and also perform periodical reviews.
• To perform ad-hoc tasks as assigned from time to time in terms of financial analysis to support management decision making process.
• Liaise with external & internal auditors on accounting procedures and records.

MIS Officer at DAS Holding

The overall role was to ensure prompt availability of accurate, reliable and timely information through efficient information systems, to support the management in decision making process and achieving the organization's strategic goals.

• To prepare monthly MIS Reports by consolidating the information received from DAS and subsidiaries. (i.e. Financial Statements, Variance Analysis, Portfolio & KPI’s Analysis, HR & Admin Reports and Project Status Reports….. etc.)
• To minimize the communication gap between the management of subsidiaries and top level management in DAS. Coordinate with subsidiaries to gather basic data & information for further analysis, consolidation and reporting to DAS management.
• To prepare ad-hoc reports and various analyses in types and formats required for conferences, feasibility studies, market meetings and decision making purposes.
• To provide the analytical framework & methodology necessary to analyze, design, implement, and manage computer based Information systems.
• To provide informational support for Intranet Portal and websites of DAS.
• To work closely with Business Excellence Division to support in setting of policies & procedures and writing of quality award submission documents.
