•preparation of technical feasibilities of new projects
•Engineering for new and modification projects, procurement of material and technical assistance for routine maintenance job of pumping stations.
•Develop feasibility, conceptual and detail design of piping and mechanical systems and associated equipment for pumping stations.
•Develop and manage package interfaces and detailed procedures for multiphase flow meters, valves, connection and intervention systems
•Responsible for the technical integrity of piping and mechanical systems from concept to hand over and during operations where appropriate i.e. layout, stress analysis and pipe supports etc.
•Integrate new technologies and value improving practices where appropriate
•Ensure compliance with technical integrity standards, corporate and project procedures
•Liaison with civil engineers, project team leaders and discipline engineers, to develop and maintain philosophies, system specifications data sheets and any other piping and mechanical system documents
•Provide input to statement of requirements, basis of design and other key project documents
•Develop and maintain equipment specifications and requisitions for a range of pumping stations including piping, valves etc.
•Liaison with subcontractors and vendors and equipment suppliers to ensure piping and mechanical equipment are delivered in line with the project goals and objectives
•Liaison with third parties and client representatives as required
•Provide assurance and interface management on vendor and sub-contractor activities
•Provide technical support and monitoring during manufacturing, fabrication, assembly and testing and commissioning of systems
•Provide accurate reports for progress and changes throughout the execution phase of the project
•Assess the risk associated with the design, supply and operations, piping, pumps and mechanical systems and equipment
•Develop budgets and schedules for all aspects of the work describe above
As Junior Engineer design the pumping station of 140mgd and 65 mgd capacity for “Greater Karachi Bulk Water Supply Scheme” (Phase -V, 2nd 100MGD K-III Project) of Karachi Water & Sewerage Board and then as in exection team for the K-III Project my responsibilities were:
Description of Project:
The K-III Project includes the design of 100 MGD drinking water conveyance system for Karachi. The element of this system are, the total length of project is 130 km and the estimated cost of the project is Rupees seven billion.
Responsibilities:
Preparation of all bidding Documents based on EPC/TURNKEY.
Pre-qualification of Contractors for the K-III Project.
Tender Evaluation of EPC / TURNKEY based Project for Dhabeji & NEK Pumping Station.
Designing of K-III pumping stations at Dhabeji Pumping Station And at NEK Pumping Station
Inspections of pipes being manufacturing at Indus Steel Pipes Limited at Kotri Hyderabad.
Monitoring the site activities for the erection of Pumping Station at Dhabeji & NEK.
Monthly Review Meetings with Client and the Contractors.
As a Junior Enginner, assist the design engineer for designing the different type of Conveying system for different organization specially PTC and Store vessels for Ibrahim Fibre Ltd, and supervise the fabrication of all this. different project are these:
