Education

Bachelor's degree, Chemical Engineering
  • at Institute of Chemical Engineering and Technology, University of The Punjab
  • April 2010

QUALIFICATION B. Sc. Chemical Engineering (Specialized in Petroleum & Gas) – 3.85 CGPA – 2005 - 2009 University of the Punjab, Lahore Plant Design Thesis: Plant design thesis report on Manufacturing of 3286 bbl/day of JP-8 by crude oil. INTERNSHIP Oil & Gas Development Company LTD – 2008 Achievements: • Worked in separation section of the plant to separate impurities, water, oil and gas by using high pressure and low pressure separators. • Processed raw natural gas by gas sweetening process for consumer use. • Reviewed PFD’s and P&ID’s according the design specifications. • Performed complete line tracing of the plant & also completed in Microsoft Visio. • Simulated the process with HYSYS in the steady-state conditions • Handled equipments for separation area such as 3-phase separators, pumps, flare, PSVs, control valves. UNIVERSITY PROJECTS Manufacturing of JP-8 from crude oil This project was to evaluate TBP and ASTM curves; I designed PFDs for manufacturing JP-8 in an oil refinery. During the design phase I performed complete material and energy balance across the plant. I also gained experience in designing of equipments such as heat exchangers, separation column. Manufacturing & Testing of Bio Diesel I and my team members produced Biodiesel by using vegetable oil containing Mustard, Soybean, Canola and Waste vegetable oil. I produced high quality of bio-diesel. I also carried out different sort of ASTM standard tests. Beside ASTM standard tests, FTIR (Fourier Transform Infra Red) spectrophotometer of bio-diesel was done to justify the product quality. Key Achievements: Research Publication I had an opportunity to present my outcomes of the project in seminar and also article “Production and Characterization of Biodiesel from Waste and Vegetable Oils” was published in “Journal of Quality & Technology Management Volume V. Issue 1. June, 2009 pg. 111-121”.
