I m working in the sports desk of Daily jang. My main job is to make news, edit the news filed by our reporters, select pictures to be published in the paper relating sports and finally to set the lay out of the page. in shorts i m looking the sports page of jang.
additionally i m regularly writing articles related to sports events.
As a news producer of a news channel my task was to create a run down for hourly news headlines n bulletons. arrange videos, arrange news order in the run down, , collect footage from outstations, ftps and streams, create graphics for the news which does not contain footage. finally go to PCR to operate panel. guiding news caster which news he or she have to drop or read it short according to the time of bulleton. conducting beepers during live news..craeting gfx of beeper, either video or on phone. ETC
as a trainee news i was learning how to make news, file reports, subbing and editing, etc
i have done BS in media sciences with second position. during my studies i have attended many workshops n seminars. i have got 1st position in essay writing competition in a work shop organized by UNDP on topic of "democracy in pakistan". i have done six month internship in the Daily jang news room and magazine section.
