Global director of application engineering in supporting pre sales support for battery energy storage systems. Responsible for creating winning strategy in bidding phase for turn key BESS solutions. Global responsibility for BESS design and cost estimation for EEQ, EPC and LTSA. Responsible for leading teams to create tools utilise in the BESS design and cost estimation. Supporting procurement team in technical and commercial qualification of core equipment vendors. Along with negotiating MSAs with vendors. Expert in various battery chemistries and their direct application. Responsible for training global team on sizing, augmentation and flexible performance guarantee topics.
Responsible for system design and commissioning of energy storage systems. Design AC/DC one line, system layout, and Network drawings. Commission Mega Watt Hour class systems and verify advance control functionalities like Voltage Control, Frequency Control, Peak Shaving and micro grid. Also perform power quality studies.
Perform power quality analysis using GE F60 and Shark 200 to predict grid faults and other associated faults with power plant. Investigate power controlling units (PCU) manufactured by Rockwell automation & Satcon. Work with electrical drafters to modify/correct existing electrical schematics. Investigate Fuel Cell short circuiting by analysing data from various circuit breaker trips throughout USA and South Korea. Make recommendations to power plant technicians to avoid future plant trips and emergency shut downs. Make recommendations to global plant operations manager on avoiding future plant trips.
Design grid tied commercial, residential, and battery backup systems. Use Auto Cad to draw one line and three line electrical schematics. Apply for interconnection application, state rebate programs and permits in Connecticut, New Jersey, and New York. Work closely with mechanical drafter in order to design the PV array layout for commercial projects. Negotiate terms with electrical and steel fabrication contractors. Work with vendors in order to provide cost effective and efficient design. Provide onsite and offsite technical support to the customers. Set up residential/commercial monitoring units (Locus, Sun Power Supervisor/Gateway, and Obvius). Replace residential inverters in order to honor warranty on the PV systems. Work with installation team on the commercial PV installations in Connecticut, New Jersey, and New York.
Develop & Design solar powered waste water treatment systems. Provide customers with cost effective solutions to PV based water treatment systems. Use Quick Books to estimate renewable energy projects and MS Visio to draw one- line and thee- line Power System diagrams. Design and install 190W plus solar array for the battery charging systems to charge Lead Acid, AGM, Gel cell batteries at 12Vdc, 24Vdc, 36Vdc, or 48 Vdc and current ranging from 5 Amps to 60 Amps. Design, commission, and assist installers in installing solar powered waste water treatment systems. Upgrade existing electrical panels to control various AC motors in the waste water treatment system. Prepare bills of materials and verify it against electrical schematic. Work closely with environmental engineer, and drafter to integrate electrical/mechanical schematics. Work with sales & marketing team to create marketing plan for newly developed products. Work with engineering team in order to research & develop new solar powered products. Provide technical solutions to installers & customers. Prepare project planning that includes tasks, schedules, and budgets. Execute design engineering and drawing reviews for projects.
