Provide 24X7 support for the management of NOC and support related to outages, KPI degradations, OSS issues, other Software used in NOC and HW issues.
Escalating the critical issues to the higher management as per SOP and coordinating with the teams to find the root cause and resolving the issues.
Administration, development and integration of OSS solution with Nodes.
Management of the team, assigning them roles and their annual appraisals.
Analysis, Trouble shooting, fault localization and Rectification of all issues arising on all HW platforms or Applications running at OSS and NOC.
Developing policies for Trouble ticketing and Alarms management of OSS.
Planning, Development & Integration of new OSS with enhanced features to integrate it with BSS, TXN and VAS Nodes.
Develop policies for user management, security management on all NOC systems.
Perform Backups for all servers and handling any issue arising in backups; also perform restore in case of any application/HW disaster.
Ensure SLAs with vendors (as per objectives).
Administration, support and access control of Huawei OMCR (M2000, PRS, IStar)
Plan, Design and implementation of projects related to NOC e.g. deployment of different solutions/tools, HW expansions, SW upgrades, System Replacements etc.
Technical Evaluation of vendors in competition for different projects and initial negotiations on project cost before forwarding to finance/procurement.
Scripting for the applications to be required.
Administration, security management and support for NMS of BSS, Transmission, NSS and VAS.
Planning and Support for the transfer of NOC to new building.
Administration and management of OMCs and other servers (Solaris, Windows Server, LINUX, HP-UX UNIX, Open VMS).
Development of software required to enhance network management, monitoring and stability.
RFP preparation for the different projects and technical evaluation of the RFPs submitted by the vendors.
Ensure appropriate security level of security control and system monitoring.
Work Orders management and ensuring that they are completed within time frame.
Access control for Motorola, Alcatel and Huawei OMCs.
Administration, backup and management of OMCs and other servers.
Monitor network performance to determine whether adjustments need to be made, and to determine where changes will need to be made in the future.
Troubleshoot networks, systems, and applications to identify and correct malfunctions and other operational difficulties.
Perform routine network startup and shutdown procedures, and Maintain logs related to network functions.
Anticipate communication and networking problems and implement preventive measures.
Ensure timely user notification of maintenance requirements and effects on system availability.
Investigate, recommend and install enhancements and operating procedures that optimize network availability.
Maintain confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored or accessed by the network.
Document network problems and resolutions for future reference.
Software Automation of NOC processes.
Weekly NOC system Admin reporting to senior management.
Weekly health checks of OMCs ( Alcatel, Motorola, Hauwei) & other servers.
Maintenance of BARCO video wall.
Managing Team of 20 members including supervision engineer, HLOs for CM and PM Tasks.
Identification of issues and escalating to the respective teams and vendors
24X7 support for the outages and performance degradation.
Assuring Smooth Operation of BSS / TXN Network Entities.
Providing Level-1 Support to Operations Team/Field Engineers.
Thorough Investigation of recurring BTS level Outages.
First Level Fault Management of IBM Trivoli and TSRM.
Performance Management through measurement of key statistics and reduction of QOS alarms at run time
