Presently working with QAPCO, a prestige name in Petrochemical Industry, QAPCO is producing Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE) & Linear LDPE. It is one of the subsidiaries of Qatar Petroleum (QP) and its joint ventures are QVC, QPCC and QATOFIN. Brief Job Description is as follows;
• Preparation of annual Operational & Capital Expenditures budget and forecasts including salaries & fringe benefits
• Identification & Monitoring of actual & committed cost, tracking and verification of cost centers and nominal accounts for proper accounting records
• Maintain proper books of accounts, journals and records as per QAPCO active manuals, policies & procedures
• Preparation & Reporting of monthly budget variance analysis, Key Performance Indicators and Balance Scorecard
• Cost Controls and savings reports
• Reconciliations, accruals and miscellaneous accounts operational activities
• Implementation of ERP (Oracle R12), Fixed Assets, Order Management, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and General Ledger modules
• Implementation of Sales Accounting System and Workshop Job Order Costing System and in ERP (Oracle Module)
• Finalization of Financial Statements & Schedules.
• Analyze sales, receivables, debtors accounts, fixed assets register, depreciation, capitalization and work in progress
• Analyze Project Cost Reports, Financial Statements ratios & variances, Cost Benefit Analysis, Cost Savings, CAPEX & Revenue forecasting etc.
• Verifications of contractors bills & proper accounting records
• Coordinate and interact with internal & external auditors on quarterly and year-end audits.
• Preparation of Project Final Accounts Including Profit And Loss Account, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Statements
• Forecast Cash Flows, Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet on monthly basis
• Plan, Organize, Lead and Control project accounts & finance activities
• To make arrangement for Book keeping, maintaining bank account, Reconciliation of Bank, Cash & Store Account, disbursement of salaries to above 2, 000 staff members, payments to subcontractors, Proper checks and balances over the Material Purchases and cash, Prepares tax returns of Vendors, scrutiny of contractor’s bills, Miscellaneous bills and payment vouchers, and preparation of monthly trial balance.
• Preparation of Payable Aging, Advances to Employees Aging and allocation of fund accordingly
• Supervise Complex reconciliations with Head Office and Site (Warehouse in Inventory Control System) & banks
• Preparation of Project analytical studies, actual vs. budgeted costs comparisons, tax payments, internal and external audits of accounts
• Material, Labour and other overheads consumptions and variance analysis
• I was responsible for all financial reporting of an energy unit name Crescent Powertec Limited from voucher to accounts finalization at head office situated in Lahore
• Preparation of monthly sales tax returns, withholding tax return and Sales tax refunds
• Payments to suppliers, bank reconciliations etc.
