Administer assigned contracts maintaining a continual review of progress and providing management with information regarding projected financial or technical difficulties.
Administer moderately complex contract changes by negotiating with contractor personnel and obtaining settlement.
Monitor financial management aspects of the contractor to ensure cost overruns are avoided and the Area Manager is notified well in advance of potential problems.
Review all communications received related to the contract managed and perform the necessary actions for the Area Manager with his approval and / or direction.
Prepare periodic status reports for management.
Participate in meetings as required.
Communicate directly with the project team members regarding significant problem areas, solutions etc.
Coordinate with designated staff on operational activities affecting contractual rights and obligations, contract performance, contract administration and other major matters.
Expeditious review of all contract invoices for completeness and compliance with contract pay items, including the latest change orders.
In the event of contractor delay, or failure to perform, determine the cause and make recommendations for appropriate corrective action to management.
Promptly complete the contractor closeout checklists to begin the closeout process.
Participate in project team evaluation of contracts.
Work closely with the Construction Superintendent and coordinate efforts and activities to meet the project requirements. Participate in the resolution of problems with requested by the Area Manager.
Review cost reports and schedule reports. Highlight major problem areas, worsening trends, budget overruns, quantity variations and bring them to the attention of the Area Manager.
Working on forecast with concerned parties and make sure that the forecasted materials available and receive on time, keep the end users in touch for any updates with regards to forecast. (Focal point to AC&TU (Academic Curriculum & Testing Unit), Saudi Arabia, ASC (Aramco Service Company, (US)), OSC (Oversea Service Company (Europe &Asia)) Purchasing Depts. and Vendors).
Supervise/manage warehouse crew/staff (Labors, Forklift operator …etc.).
Supervise/manage warehouse operations (New deliveries & withdrawn materials).
Manage to get copyrights license & online databases subscription on time - via SAP system.
Manage courier services (Receiving & distributing materials such as Testing Materials).
Review of Materials Requisition for completeness and accuracy.
Coordination with end user/requestor.
Communication with suppliers.
Expediting of orders.
