EJM Engineering August 2012 to June 2013
Design Engineer
I 80, Phase I, from Ridge Road to US Route 30, Illinois Department of Transportation, Will County- Project Engineer
Responsible for performing crash analysis after reviewing four years of data with updates for an additional two years. Identified crash patterns, analyzed probable causes of crashes and also represented them in crash diagrams and excel spreadsheets.
Elgin-O'Hare West Bypass-Illinois Department of Transportation- Project Engineer
Performed temporary and permanent barrier warrant analysis on potential hazards, identified hazards requiring shielding in the field, determined whether the existing guardrail was sufficient for MOT conditions, and performed analysis on stand alone and summary locations.
Wacker Drive Reconstruction Program Management, Chicago Department of Transportation-Project Engineer
EJM provided traffic engineering services to ease traffic congestion resulting from the simultaneous construction of the Wacker Drive reconstruction. I was responsible for CADD corrections of signal timing sheets for 85 intersections throughout the loop. In addition, he monitored and identified traffic issues and analyzed traffic flow.

Key member on a multi million dollar state project. The project involved testing the structural integrity of concrete beams with basalt reinforcement which would provide as a much cheaper alternative to steel reinforcement. Furthermore, the project included testing the properties of different concrete mix structures which would be the most durable for cold chicago weather.
Civil Engineering Department (UIC) August 2010 to August 2011
Undergraduate Research/ Research Assistant
Testing the properties of Portland Cement with limestone with different admixtures to achieve desirable structural properties.
Test various steel configurations in beams and beam column joints using steel and alternate reinforcement such as Fiber Reinforced Plastic (FRP)
BS, Civil and Materials Engineering May 2012 University of Illinois at Chicago GPA 3.0/4.0
