• Safeguard and protect the Company’s interest, goals and policies during project execution and make sure that all construction activities being done is in accordance with the scope of works and as per contract agreement.
• Lead, direct and participate in the preparation of project feasibility and profitability studies, design and estimates, bidding preparation and negotiation, budget allocation, procurement and construction, risk analysis and mitigation, materials-manpower-equipment schedule, planning and control, work permits and certificates acquisitions, sub-contractors hiring and screening.
• Plan, organize, direct, oversee, control and evaluate, all activities and stages of the construction to meet the scheduled completion, as per contract and within the budget allocation.
• Coordinate with the top management about the materials-manpower-equipment requirements and make sure that it is being provided as per schedule.
• Link, coordinate, harmonize and resolve issues and conflicts among project team members, sub-contractors, client and consultants.
• Coach, mentor, motivate, supervise project team members and influence them to take positive actions for their assigned works.
• Identify and apply corrective measures and solutions to any problems that may arise during the project execution.
• Prepare and submit daily, weekly and monthly progress report to the top management and client for record and collection purposes.
• Screen, evaluate and approve employees and sub-contractors performance, billings and invoices.
• Ensure that all construction activities are being carried out as per approved QA/QC and Health-Safety & Environmental standards and procedure

Fernas Construction LLC EPC Doha, State of Qatar 2007 - 2010
This Company is engaged in engineering, procurement and construction of heavy industrial facilities and acquires projects through bidding and negotiation with Qatar Petroleum. I was hired to complete two liquefied natural gas plant in Ras-Laffan and Dukhan industrial city under project numbers GTC/07/106/ED & GTC/07/102/800 respectively. The project involves installation of 12 & 36 inches cross country LNG pipeline including control room building, metering station, power station, telemetry building, roadway and drainage.
Construction Manager Civil & Mechanical Works:
• Plan, organize and control all phases of construction works to meet the scheduled completion as per plan and specifications within the budget allocation.
• Assist in engineering design and design data gathering, plans and specification review, recall of pipeline route survey, soil testing, boring and coring test, establishment of control points for pipeline, building sites, roadways and perimeter fencing.
• Assist in obtaining work permits and certificates requirements prior to actual construction
• Direct, organize and oversee the materials-manpower-equipment mobilization, training and seminars of would be permit receivers and worksite supervisors, welder’s testing and identification, equipment-operators documentation and certificates, tools and machineries calibration.
• Interface coordination of the project to all live facilities owner affected by the construction.
• Upon completion of the approved for construction plans and specification, construction supervision for; ROW preparation, Trenching, Spools-Sleepers-Platform-Concrete Slab Protection fabrication, Pipe Stringing, Holiday Testing, Fit-up and Welding, PT/NDT/PWHT, Joint Coating, Pipe Lowering, Hydro-testing, Critical Tie-inns, Burn Construction, Punch Listing, Punch Closing, Turn Over and Close Out.
• Preparation, coordination and supervision of daily construction activities in accordance with the approved plans and specifications, QA/QC procedures, following the Health-safety-Environmental requirements based on local codes and regulation.
• Screen, evaluate and recommend approval for subcontractor’s billing and invoices.
• Preparation, evaluation and submission of construction progress report daily to the site management office.

It also deals with private companies and individuals who wish to build office buildings, dream houses, resorts and recreational facilities.

Saline Water Conversion Corporation Al-Khobar, Saudi Arabia 1989 - 1995
This company is a government owned corporation, engaged in water supply and electric distribution. Their two Power/Desalination plant (Combined Cycle fueled by natural gas) in Al-Khobar, is capable of producing 1, 250 Megawatts of electric power and enough water supply in the areas of Al-Khobar, Dharan, Dammam, Saihat, Safwa, Qatif, Ras Tanura and part of Jubail. It has around 350-KM water pipeline and seven blending/pumping stations in the eastern province.
Civil Works Supervisor;
• Attend to the civil works, construction, repair and maintenance of the main plant, seven blending/pumping stations and pipelines.
• Act as owner’s representative to attend meetings and monitor construction activities related to civil engineering works such as; sheet and pile driving, trenching, back-filling and compaction, concrete pouring, pipe-rack construction, mechanical piping, boiler erection and installation, cable laying.
• Serve as witness in; material sampling and testing, boring and coring test, load bearing capacity test.
• Review design, specifications, including construction method and recommend solution to problematic situation.

This company is engaged in high rise building construction and acquires projects by joining bidding invitations from big companies, corporations and property developers. I was hired to manage and supervise the construction of 27 floors LPL Center building at Leviste Street, Makati City and 20 floors Twin Tower beside Robinson Galleria at Mandaluyong City, Philippines.

• This company was my training ground, where I mastered civil works; design and estimates, design data gatherings, proper materials handling and storage, form-works fabrication, reinforcing bar cutting schedule and fabrication, concrete pouring and curing, material testing and recording, preparation of materials-manpower-equipment schedule, construction activities recording and reporting, quality assurance and quality control procedures, permit and certificates requirement acquisition and strict implementation of health-safety and environmental policies.
A Philippine Government scholarship grantee to study Civil Engineering. Selected Achievements: *Squeezed around $3M US Dollars’ worth of extra work out of a lump sum contract for my current employer by proving that the work done was not covered by the original contract scope of works. *Saved around $2.5M US Dollars direct expenditures for my company in the State of Qatar by introducing alternate solution to a horizontal coring problem for a Liquefied Natural Gas piping route. Qatar Petroleum engineers was convinced and the project was completed three months ahead of the schedule. *Saved my previous employer in the Philippines from paying liquidated damages by testifying in court and proving that the delay in project completion was caused by the errors in the plan detail. Instead of paying liquidated damages, my employer was awarded an extra work payment.
