Currently serving in the capacity of INSURANCE MANAGER of this leading local group for General Contracting, Transport and Quarries based in Abu Dhabi.

Job Responsibilities
• Handling all operational functions of the Insurance process and responsible for all insurance jobs (Underwriting & claims of all classes of insurance) and any other issue related to insurance on behalf of the group.

• Analysing insurance requirements of the company and carry out the risk evaluations / assessments and ensure compliance with insurance process and procedures. Provide guidance and advice to top level management on developing, implementing and revising insurance programs and policies.

• On yearly renewal approaching different insurance co., to avail best coverage, competitive quotation, review, evaluate and negotiate the same with Insurance companies as per Group requirement and subsequent discussion / approval recommendation to high level management for each and every fleet policy plus the above same exercise for each and every CAR /TPL policy as and when required for different projects

• Maintaining Workmen’s compensation policy for almost 2500 employee, worth of (Approx. 40 millions sum insured) and subsequent workmen’s compensation claims (settled 300 WC claims (Small / complex / death claims since date of joining)

• Maintaining / arranging / underwriting Contractors All Risk /TPL Policies for each and every project as required by the Group and responsible of subsequent claims

• Maintaining Contractors Plant and Machinery policy worth of (approx. 186 millions) and subsequent claims (almost settled 40 - 50 CPM / engineering claims)

• Maintaining Motor comprehensive fleet policy (for almost 525 small and heavy vehicles, worth of 105 million) and Third Party fleet policy (for almost 216 vehicles and equipment) and responsible for subsequent claims for these fleet policies (Handled almost 900 Motor claims including numbers of Total Loss motor claims)
• Maintaining Group Medical Insurance policy for almost 320 senior staff / family members and 2200 lower staff including labours and subsequent reimbursement claims as and when arise
• Maintaining other insurance policies i.e GLPA, Fire, Property All Risk, Money in transit, Fidelity insurance for group and responsible for subsequent claims

• Review and approval of each and every debit / credit notes of each and every policy mentioned above in respect of underwriting as well as claims

• Maintaining a register for claims and underwriting and assist account department in reconciliation with insurance companies by providing SOA

• Coordination and liaison with Insurance companies, Brokers, Loss Adjusters and Project Managers etc for different work criteria and in order to resolve outstanding claims

• Renewal of registration of vehicles with authorities and subsequent follow-up of relevant policies as and when due for renewal

• Responsible for the full operation of Insurance department and work with the Group’s subsidiaries to monitor the Insurance department based on service quality, cooperation / performance / weakness of staff and subsequent steps to improve the services provided

• Workmen’s compensation policy for almost 780 employee, worth of Approx. 13 millions sum insured and subsequent claims
