I am responsible for all the IT operations for Saudi Oger, Ltd., in Madinah Region. I report directly to the IT Manager who is in Jeddah. I summarize below my key job responsibilities:

System Administration:
• Developed, implemented and administered the server, network infrastructure and all IT solutions, including internet connection and PBX phone systems, for more than 300 staffs.
• Designed and maintained the server rooms for 5 different office locations which consists of 3 Windows Servers running as Domain Controllers.
• Designed, deployed and administered Active Directory services for Windows 2012 and 2008.
• Setup daily backup for Active Directory and file shares to ensure availability of data during disaster recovery.
• Setup and maintained DNS, DHCP, Print, IIS servers.
• Created and implemented group policy and provided access rights for individual user groups.
• Installed ISA 2006, TMG 2010, pfSense, Sophos UTM firewalls for bandwidth and content management for the internet users.
• Developed and implemented IIS and FTP file servers with access rights for remote users to retrieve work data securely.
• Deployed and administered Windows SCCM 2012 and PDQ deploy for remote deployment, patch management and user control.
• Implemented Spiceworks helpdesk system for ticket based helpdesk support.
• Configured and deployed Symantec Endpoint Protection V.12 server and clients.
• Configured LAN Messenger for sending messages and data within the local network, thus saving network bandwidth.
• Resolved remote site user issues through Teamviewer and VNC.
Networking:
• Planned, designed and installed network layouts for 5 offices each with 100-200 users.
• Oversaw cabling and termination of UTP and telephone cables and ensured that all voice and data cablings are structured, properly organized and labeled
• Responsible for the high availability of the Internet system with minimal downtime.
• Performed troubleshooting for any network related issues in the local network and coordinated with the ISP support if the issue was found to be from their end.
• Installed, configured and performed troubleshooting for network switches, routers, modems, load balancers, Wi-Fi access points and fingerprint readers.
• Secured the wired and wireless networks to prevent unauthorized use.
• Connected the internal users to the Head office network through VPN when deemed necessary by the management.

Technical and End User System Support:
• Provided the day to day operation and management of the IT network while resolving ten daily user technical support cases through ticketing system, telephone and email support.
• Fully documented daily tasks done and sent them to IT Manager for review.
• Provided technical support for windows, Linux and Mac OSX operating systems ranging from simple to complex issues.
• Trained and led the IT technician team of 3 staffs and assigned individual tasks for them based on ticket priority.
• Maintained high standards while attending to the staff issues.
• Installed and configured new hardware which includes printers, scanners, plotters, modems, Wi-Fi repeaters, etc.
• Installed and configured operating systems, software, updates and patches when necessary.
• Perform routine audits on user computers to ensure company work policy.
• Replicated OS installation by using scripts and through Norton Ghost and Acronis true image.
• Wrote technical documentation and guides for IT technicians and end users for resolving both simple and complex issues.
• Set up and maintained company tools, IP-based phone and conference systems, projectors and mobile phones (IOS, Android, Blackberry, Windows Phone).
• Created and maintained company asset inventory for all computer hardware with Microsoft Excel.
• Setup individual email exchange accounts for users through Microsoft Outlook and for mobile devices
