Professional Currently Working, In Iraq (Kurdistan) & Pakistan:
Currently working on the post of (H2S Engineer) on the Rig Site controlling safety measurements and Protection and Detection of “H2S” during drilling, and giving safety to all drilling site by putting protection and detection of “H2S” on specific areas on the site.
• Safety Induction course to every new arrival on site. Weekly training to personnel about donning and doffing of BA sets, Properties and characters of H2S, using of air loop system, Evacuation of victim and First aid during emergency.
• Familiarize and remain cognizant of all drilling activities, which could produce an H2S release.
• Checking H2S Detection System for proper operation and perform H2S calibration checks once every 24-hour period and every 12 hours once H2S has been detected. Recalibrate sensors, as required, and record that sensor checks and calibrations were conducted in the Drilling Contractor's Log.
• Maintaining daily contact with Company Man, reporting on status of equipment readiness, maintenance performed, and drills or training completed that day.
• Conducting “H2S Awareness and Safety BA Training" for all new personnel arriving on the rig.
• Training and safety equipment orientation on arrival.
• Checking and maintenance of all 10 min, 15 min and 30 minute SCBA, SABA, ELSA are functional and fully charged.
• Ensuring that all Cascade Air Banks are charged, on-line, and capable of recharging SCBA. Check system for signs of air leaks. Insure operability of Air Compressors.
• During activities that have a potential for an H2S release, provide continuous monitoring with H2S personal Detector Tubes and checking in open air by using detector tubes.
Maintain a running inventory of location and availability of all Safety Equipment. Maintain ongoing efforts to keep equipment clean.
Professional Exposure (OGDCL Pakistan):
I have worked as a junior (Drilling/Production) engineer at OGDCL, Kal Oilfield in (production Field/Drilling Rig) departments for 1 and Half year and acquired on hand experience since my stay at the field in following areas i.e.
• On Field as a drilling engineer, perform all necessary duities and participated on hand experience.
• Was involved in planning and execution of all the drilling operations including BHA, hydraulics.
• Also witnessed Casing, logging and Cementing operations.
• DST (Drill Stem Testing) operations.
• TCP (Tubing Conveyed Perforating) Guns operation to perforate the well formation to produce hydrocarbons.
• Participated in the Slick Line Job and the Fishing Operation.
• Involved workover operations (Rig/Rigless), including Running/ Pulling Well Completion, Wellhead Installation & remedial work.
• Supervise CT jobs including Acid Stimulation, Tubing clean-up jobs and Pumping Water shut-off gels.
• Observed & learned about the Directional Drilling with Mud Motor & Rotary Steerable System.
• Jet Pump Operation at Well Site reverse out, dressing (check & repair), maintenance, again installing etc.
i have GPA 2.78. AND I HAVE DONE TWO INTERNSHIPS : during my study period, as given below: Internships: Tando Alam Oil Complex, OGDCL Pakistan: A four week internship, I was associated with the Production department, The completion of the (Thora Deep 2) well and also get an experience of artificial lifting method (Jet Pump),reverse out, dressing(check & repair) ,maintenance and installing etc. Worked on the well Thora 4 and took part in an operation performed on an existing (drilled and completed well) to remove problem, I also worked on the drilling rig site in this duration in which mainly saw the drilling operations, mainly related to field work. Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) Sui Pakistan: A three week internship at Sui Production, Sui Gas Field, I gained on hand experience related to the production department in which we study well behaviours and also visited different well sites and well head operations routine monitoring of wells behaviour, did plant line tracing, Separation System, Oil Processing, Gas Compression Operation, Crude Oil Pumping, Delivery Procedures, daily wise dispatches, vehicles entry and security check, Filling Operations and Documentation at the field.
