• Manage according to best practice and develop project cultures across project teams.
• Development of commercial strategies, negotiations and the ability to work on more than one project at a time ensuring the correct personnel are on board and they adhere to the Companies procedures and workflows.

• Ensure the supplier programmes and reports are an accurate reflection.
• Carried out interim project forecasts reviews with discipline leads to mitigate over expenditure and lack of progress and oversee in the preparation of the integrated master schedule and cost plan through full consultation with all parties, ensuring that an accurate assessment of project risk and contingency allowance is maintained and that resources are mobilized through integration of the schedules.
• Develop and report Key Performance Indicator’s (KPI’s) for performance at project, programme and sub-programme level as well as develop an effective system for providing early warning of emerging risks or issues.
• Oversee the preparation of formal and ad hoc reports of programme process bringing together progress against schedule and trend, actual cost vs. budget and trend/early warning.
• Identified business as well as project risks and monitor a live risk register. Contingency Spend against risk, early warnings/recommended action. Ensure that schedule fully mobilized the requirements consents and approvals.
• Manage the project document control system and ensure all documents are traceable, reliable versions and auditable.
• Oversee the administration and accounts function.
• Train and inform all new mobilized staff on project procedures and systems.
• Manage changes to procedures, workflows and systems in a controlled and documented manner as not to compromise the project functioning.
• Ensure Planning, Cost Management Teams are working with current information.
• Interface with all disciplines both outside the Project Controls Team and other disciplines such as Engineering, Project Management and other Field Management.
• Accountable for all project reporting and information, Adherence to all company policies and procedures.

• Validation of feasibility studies and submissions against P6 schedules, manage the infrastructure and mining areas from implementation to closeout.
• Ensuring the achievement of the business case by noting changes in the market which will affect the outcome of the project results
• Review, adjust and validate the project’s baseline schedule and budget, follow-up on the work progress and relevant cost and take appropriate measures to meet the project’s objectives.
• Provision of support to Project Directors on technical solutions, considering potential impact to cost and schedule
• Provision of strategic direction to project teams to ensure consistency across all projects.
• Ultimately responsible for procurement of all products, resources, and materials necessary to successfully complete the project.
• Coordinate with the project’s section managers to make sure all prerequisite requirements (documents, resources, etc.) are ensured on time and that the workflow is well organized.
• Lead development and execution of contracting strategies ensuring alignment with project scheduling and commercial controls.
• Review QA/QC reports as well as the client/consultant’s observations, discuss findings with relevant persons and make sure the work is executed in compliance with relevant designs/specifications/standards and quality requirements.
• Approve and validate operations that stipulate additional cost on the project, verify the work/products/services of external providers and take appropriate action.
• Manage proactively all contractual matters related to the project, negotiate variations/changes and get internal technical support.
• Ensure all MHSA/ OHSA are in place and adhered to, and considerations are built into both cost and scheduling activities
• Assess all project needs and set strategies therefore
• Oversee the correct implementation of policies and procedures to insure conformity on project site.

• Collect metrics data (cost vs. spent, baseline vs. actual, progress and productivity etc.) identify and analyze deviations, reports on the project’s performance and progress and develop action plans.
• Ensure cost of the execution of the works is aligned with feasibility requirements, validate and approve operations that cause change and ensure all change management procedures are compliant.
• Ensure that updated Job Models exist and employees know what they are accountable for, ensure that employees are trained and properly inducted.
• Organize regular/periodic meetings with the project’s staff, communicate targets, discuss problems and review the work progress and challenges.
• Identify and analyze project’s related problems, assess relevant risks and prepare mitigation plans.
• Liaise with external parties on any matter relevant to the project, discuss it internally if needed, and develop communication strategies.
• Lead and motivate people, drive them towards successful achievements, provide coaching and support when needed and create a strong team spirit culture to boost internal productivity.
• Manage individual performance, identify internal talents and coordinate with concerned parties to develop employees’ potential.
