Worked on the development of a LTE Emulation platform ( OpenAirInterface, openairinterface.org) in association with various researchers from Bell Labs and its partners . Tasks included development of X2 interface between eNodeB's, ASN1 encoding of 3GPP Messages, Testing of LTE Protocols over the platform, Setting up the test bench for optimizing self organizing networks .
Department : The Triple Play Wireless / O4G network department is part of Bell Labs networking domain. Its mission is to develop efficient and green solutions for 4G networks. Research themes are Small cell systems, Self-configuration for wireless networks, Network-based solutions for rich always-on 4G experience, Everywhere access enablers, and Energy savings strategies for low-consumption wireless networks. The team has also a global expertise in standards WiMAX, LTE/SAE and 802.16m
Involved in a European Research Project - CONECT (www.conect-ict.eu), Developed a Multicasting protocol for Wireless Mesh And Ad-Hoc Network and implemented the protocol in a mesh network based on WiFi Interface .
Developed an Android Software for the testing the performance of the modem chipsets, Used the application for benchmarking various network features such as network quality, internet speed, performance etc .
Designed and tested an algorithm for Voice Activity Detection and Noise Reduction for Wireless Microphones in very high noisy environment such as stadium, An Eigen Vector based Filter for noise reduction has been developed during the project.
A Fingerprint Authentication algorithm based on Artificial Neural Networks has been developed and implemented, the algorithm offered much more efficiency than the conventional fingerprint system .
An RFID based attendance system ( Smart Attendance System ) has been developed, AT89S52 micro-controller has been programmed and connected with RFID .
