The Roads Management Center Software solution (RMC-SS) project implements an Integrated
Transportation Management System for Qatar’s Road management Center RMC in an agile
SDLC process. RMC-SS integrates all existing & future Intelligent Transportation Systems and
field devices on Qatar’s road network, and associated control rooms to enable one-point
operations and control the systems and safe decision making.
The design works follow the international System engineering V-model - ISO/IEC/IEEE 15288
in all stages. In the as a senior Business analyst and Design Team Lead (equivalent to Scrum
Product Owner role) responsible for
• Management of 1200 Business requirements using requirement management tools (Jama
& confluence) including elicitation, analysis, classification, and prioritization.
• Working with the client end users, project stakeholders and development team to develop
functional Use Cases-User Stories in line with the operational concept and prioritize these
as per the Business needs of the RMC strategy and business plan.
• Development of System functional design and associated Test scenarios and Traceability
documentation according to the ISO/IEC/IEEE 15289 system V-model for system
verification & validation.
• Project management activities around the schedule of the project/subproject and the task
management and resources of the design subproject as well as project communication,
reporting and risk managemen
Planning, Implementation and Management of the first comprehensive field Data
Collection Project for Fiber Optic Network infrastructure data in Abu Dhabi Department of
Transport.
Established the ITS communications Systems and Data Unit, developed Plan and
Workflows for Data management, Data Analysis, Data QA/QC and Documentation. Staff
training and Team Management of the Infrastructure GIS Data and systems (2 GIS
technicians, 2 Data analysts and 2 field surveyors).
Network Management: Needs Assessment, Communications Service management and
Planning, Design and Supervision for Network Expansion Project and contract
Implementation.
System Design, Requirement development RFP and the Implementation of the first
Network management system, ONMS Optical Network Monitoring System and
Computerized Maintenance System in the i-ITS division.
Development of the section integrated process manual for the i-ITS communications
section, and assisted ISO Certification project.
The planning and management of GIS support program including supervision of the Inhouse and contractors GIS/CAD staff for Transportation and traffic Engineering projects in the Abu Dhabi Municipality traffic management center (TMC) and Al Salam tunnel projects.
The planning and management of the GIS environment for the ITS (Intelligent transportation systems) division of the Abu Dhabi Department of transport activities and applications. Establishing and management of the ITS infrastructure GIS data base and related Field survey activities (e.g . Multi-modal Communications Network including Finer optic infrastructure). Project planning and writing RFP.
