➢ Coordinate and implement quality control objectives, including activities and procedures to resolve production problems, maximize product reliability, and minimize costs.
➢ Schedule deliveries based on production forecasts, material substitutions, storage and handling facilities, and maintenance requirements.
➢ Implement methods and procedures for recycling of discrepant material and defective or damaged parts, and assess cost and responsibility.
➢ Complete production reports, purchase orders, and material, tool, and equipment lists.
➢ Confer with clients, vendors, staff, and management personnel regarding purchases, product and production specifications, manufacturing capabilities and project status.
➢ Negotiate and agree design change cost with suppliers aimed at achieving a win-win situation for both parties.
➢ Liaise with senior management to set out parameters for supplier selection.
➢ Regulate and alter workflow schedules according to established manufacturing sequences and lead times to expedite production operations.
➢ Develop lean manufacturing methods, labour utilization standards, and cost analysis systems to promote efficient staff and facility utilization.

In this very insightful role, I was attached to a Senior Operations Engineer in a plastic manufacturing company where I learnt as fast as I could on the production of plastics. My Job role covered the following:
➢ Assisted the senior operations Engineer in the selection of raw materials for plastic production.
➢ Tasked with ensuring health and safety practices were correctly adhered to by all staff.
➢ Co-ordinated the supply chain of finished products to various consumers.
➢ Attended meetings on behalf of the company with key stakeholders with the aim of identifying and meeting customer needs.
➢ Was involved in rectifying faults on the factory's production machines.

➢ MSc Engineering Management - Aston University UK. (2009 -2011) Final dissertation involved researching project management best practices in UK organisations given the economic downturn. Core modules covered in the course contents such as Strategic Management, Project Management, New Product Development processes, Lean and Agile manufacturing, and change management, detail how to rightly position a business in an engineering or any other relevant sector of the economy to achieve its business goals. Contents of the course covered a broad spectrum of management attributes which I have acquired and can apply to any relevant industry.
The core modules covered in the course detail the application of different processes of chemical engineering relating to different manufacturing processes such as polymer production, petroleum refining and processing, Energy conversion techniques, Biochemical engineering etc, used in manufacturing a wide range of products. As a pre requisite for the completion of the course, I carried out a research project where I employed the unit operations aspect of chemical engineering to produce briquettes from coal.
