2019-07 - Current Special Packages Technical Manager.
My job is to lead the Technical Office responsible for the unique items in the Haramain Projects Special Packages ( Glass Facade Systems - Sliding Domes - Sliding Skylights - Photovoltaic Systems “ Solar panels” - Carbon fiber ceilings FRP - Glass Handrails - LED lighting - Bronze work façade and screens - Aluminum Screens - Signages). To provide the construction team with the following requirements:
• Provide engineering management, direction, and leadership to the project engineering team as well as establish project-specific engineering objectives and monitor performance accordingly.
• Manage and control the project engineering aspects in terms of Project Integration, Scope, Interface, Schedule & Milestones, Time, Cost (man-hours), Quality, Communications, Risk, and HR management plans, in alignment with respective Area Departments.
• Interface and coordinate on Engineering aspects with all project stakeholders, including Project Manager, Procurement, Construction/Commissioning, Client, Subcontractors, and Vendors, as required.
• Manage the Engineering Partners / Subcontractors in terms of schedule, deliverables, scope, and performance as per the set agreement.
• Lead required Value Engineering activities and opportunities that will save on the Project Budget and scope.
• Maintain the Engineering Development within the set Project Budget for all disciplines.
• Perform the technical review of design subcontracts in liaison with the Area Engineering, Procurement & Subcontracts, and Contracts Managers and with the input and support of the Area & project team.
• Review documents related to project execution and provided needed input.
• Determine the codes and standards to be applied to the project, in line with the project requirements with the support of the Discipline and Project Engineers, where applicable.
• Develop and apply project-specific engineering working standards and procedures, for efficient and effective work practices, with the support of the Discipline and Project Engineers, where applicable.
• Manage and control the development of the Engineering Deliverables register, with the input of the Engineers and the support of the team.

• Develop and apply project-specific engineering
working standards and procedures, for efficient and
effective work practices, with the support of the
Discipline and Project Engineers, where applicable.
• Manage and control the development of the
Engineering Deliverables register, with the input of
the Engineers and the support of the team.
• Ensure that the complete correct scope of equipment
and materials is identified, developed, specified,
engineered, and requisitioned to meet the project
requirements.
• Establish the approval procedures and protocol for
the Engineering deliverables in consultation with the
Engineers and Project Manager.
• Lead and facilitate the design verification period in
coordination with the engineering subcontractor;
review drawings, list of deliverables, issuing dates,
and other related documents, and make the
necessary changes based on set requirements and
standards.
• Depict any changes to the original scope and notify
concerned parties and departments; accordingly,
liaise closely with the PM and Project / Area
Contracts Department and provide the needed
support for all change management aspects.
• Lead and participate in multidiscipline engineering
progress review meetings and ensure implementation
of agreed actions.
• Manage the Engineering input for the project
Constructability Program and participate in
Constructability reviews.
• Coordinate, facilitate, and participate in Design
reviews and ensure implementation of agreed
actions.
• Facilitate and support project-specific quality audits
in liaison with and as guided by the Area Quality
Assurance Department.
• Submit periodic project engineering related reporting
to the Management for information.
• Provide field engineering advice and support to the
Project Manager and project team as needed and
respond to field technical queries.
• Identify project-specific staff training requirements
and consults with the Project Manager, the Chief
Engineers, and Area HR Department accordingly for
implementation.
• Manage the preparation of engineering documents
and as-built drawings at the closing phase of the
project, ensuring it accurately reflects construction
works that have been done on-site.
• Compile Project Lessons Learned to be adopted for
future projects.
• Participate in the project close-out meeting with the
project team and share lessons learned.
• Maintains continuity of work operations by
documenting and communicating needed actions to
management; discovering irregularities; determining
continuing needs.

Coordination between all trades (Architectural, Structural,
and Electromechanical).
• Follow up and Coordinate Material Process (approval of
material, purchase it (P.O - contracts), delivery to the
site).
• Follow up Fabrication and Erection for Metal and
Decorative (ART METAL) works in the Projects.
• Follow up on technical packages with the technical office
to be sure that all will be issued on time.
• Coordinate with planning dept. to prepare a material
procurement schedule based on the schedule and site
priority.

Check and review design drawings and prepare RFI if
needed when conflicts or missing in the drawings.
• Prepare, and check the Material submittals, Shop
Drawing, and Method statement of installation.
• Prepare Technical packages.
• Coordinate between all treads (Architectural, Structural,
and E/M ).
