•Lead engineering team in solutions engineering for Process Machinery & Material Handling projects involving material selection for shafts, belt guides, dampers, assigning proper tolerances.
•Design, develop, and modify various components in response to customer requirements pertaining to product, process to the development of any new products.
•Lead team to review product modification with concerned departments and conduct design verification.
•Installation of equipments at client site as per layout, interaction with sub-contractor for facilitating installation, reviewing progress and planning for next day work, providing snag list.
•Preparation of PID’s.
•Support manufacturing by documenting, releasing engineering drawings & BOM.
•Produce engineering calculations and estimation as needed.
•Perform cost cutting & value addition for existing product designs.
•Provide estimation details for process machinery.
•Support marketing & sales by create sales layouts based on inputs from marketing team.
Deputed to Barry-Wehmiller International Resources, Chennai
Responsibilities.
• Layout generation for Corrugated Board machineries in liaison with sales team
• Modelling and detailing of corrugated board machinery designs utilizing the Solid works.
• Creation of Lines Plan Drawings as specified by Naval architect.
• Generation of Structural drawings and ‘As-Fitted’ Drawings for Tugs and Barges.
• Generation of Tugs and Barges model on Solidworks platform.
• Piping layout creation along with material estimation.
• Interaction with the Marketing Dept. for obtaining inputs on new designs / modifications needed for Tender Drawings.
• Interface and work with Vendors, Customers, Inspection agencies and Shipyard personnel.
• Maintain documents for use in future projects and for ISO Audits.
On deputation to Tebma Shipyards, Chennai
Responsibilities
Generation of Structural drawings and ‘As-Fitted’ Drawings for Tugs and Barges.
Interaction with Vendors, Customers, Inspection agencies and Shipyard personnel.
Responsible for generation and maintenance of the Documentation for ISO Audits.
