I have been employed for over eight years as a Specialist Photography Instruction Officer at Defence School of Photography, teaching photography to the Military, UK Police Forces and other Government departments instructing, supervising and managing a real mix of students from 18 year old students to 50 year old police personnel.
My post for the school was an interesting and ever changing one; it included course design, building and updating courses, writing both formal and practical exams, student assessment. Digital mini lab training, teaching digital photography for RAF and Surveillance photography for the Army and Navy prior to their deployment. This included training for the combat camera teams, and I have also been involved with electronic news gathering (video) and video editing.
