Network Desgin and Support Engineer

This role involved managing the project implementation for MATCO, to serve the client requirement s and sync operations amongst the vendor NSN and serve the client STC. Establishing operational processes, and executing the telecom technical engineering deliverables to the clients to both STC and NSN in Transmission & MSAN projects. Actively performed expert design engineering, designed method of procedures at vendor site NSN, and was stationed in NSN.
• Ensure all Project processes and procedures are kept up-to-date and managed accurately reflecting Customer vision and requirements.
• Defining, documenting, and supporting in the preparation of the project scope documents, scope of work through elaborate requirement gathering & analysis from the client and service provider (STC).
• Project planning, resource allocation, defining execution processes, project charter documents, and establishing the foundations for the implementation of the project, including project documentations.
• Design the method of procedures (MOPs) for the NSN transmission project.
• Communicating with NOC engineers regarding existing equipment in order to provide new scope details.
• Executing Transmission Network Designs for DWDM (Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing) and SDH (Synchro-nous Digital Hierarchy) systems with ring topology.
• Responsible for resolving blocking issues pertaining to transmission design both in STC & vendor NSN.
• Designing new equipment layout on Telcordia Network Engineer based on the scope provided by Saudi Telecom Company (STC) for Transmission Project and MSAN (Multi-service Access Node) project.
• Coordinating with the field engineers under MSAN & Transmission projects to ensure successful implementations.
• Provides technical support; assigns and supervises project staff to installations/implementations; monitors delivera-bles to meet client needs regarding products/services.
• Gathers client feedback and suggests the products/services solutions and provides recommendations for improve-ments to existing products/services.
• The below vendors and equipments were also worked on in addition to the above mentioned responsibilities:
Nokia Solutions Networks( NSN);
10G add/drop cards and 40G add/drop cards in hit7300 for long distance links. F40 mux/demux cards in hit7300. Also New site design and integration in Hit7300 ring topologies of STM-64.
10G add/drop cards in hit7500 equipment and new Hit7500 ring topologies of STM-64.
Hit7060/hit7070 ring topologies for STM-4, STM-16 and STM-64 with new cards layout and also new site design and integration
Huawei;
STM-16 card insertion in OSN3500 on STM-16 ring topology.
Alcatel Lucent(ALU);
10G card expansion in Lambda Unite
STM-4, STM-16 Cards expansions and new site integration in METRO AMU with ring topology.
Cisco;
Preparation of the method of procedure for Cisco CRS-1 with CRS1-SIP-800 cards, Cisco CRS-1 Series Modular Services Card 40G and XFP modules.
Preparation of the Method of procedure for Cisco 7613 with 7600 ES20 Line Card and XFP modules.
• Project reporting to the client, and senior management of the company, weekly, daily, monthly.
