book.
• Working as an Assistant Relationship Manager in Corporate banking team based in Mumbai.
• Dealing with large corporate groups (turnover of >Rs. 125 billion) of West India from diverse
sectors like Textiles, Steel, Roads, Power, Real Estate, Construction, Media, Financial Services
etc.
• Handling the entire gamut of post-origination activities of these accounts including credit
appraisal, transaction structuring, preparation of term sheet & credit appraisal memo, getting
approvals from Risk, documentation, disbursement, cross selling of other products, review/
renewal and other regular post-sanction day-to-day business activities.
• Forming a view on the counterparty through evaluation of industry, business, financial & management risk and devising facility structures for term lending, project finance, working
capital lending, treasury products etc.
• Getting the counterparty limits & transactions approved from Risk with excellent response
time, in conformity with Bank's risk appetite while maintaining adherence to various internal
policies.
• Keeping abreast of latest developments with respect to counterparty, sector and overall
economy through client engagements and external resources, to ensure judicious monitoring of assigned portfolio.
• Interfacing with Risk, Transaction Banking, Treasury/Global Markets & Credit Administration
teams to facilitate post sanction activities.
• Regular interaction with the client, participate in Consortium meetings and undertake
plant/site visit on need basis.
• Part of the Ratings Pillar (Pillar 1 of 3 Pillar structure) of Deutsche Bank's robust Credit Risk
Management System.
• Managing a portfolio of 50 counterparties (both Indian as well as global) and deriving credit
ratings based on in-depth counterparty analysis. This necessitates financial & business risk
assessment of the counterparty, peer analysis, studying the company strategy & financial
models, evaluating management risk and understanding the operating industry, regional
dynamics & regulatory environment.
• Presenting the assigned ratings to the Rating Committee and getting it approved.
• Handled companies from various sectors like Utilities, Transportation, Real Estate, Textiles etc.
• Portfolio coverage with real time monitoring of credit-relevant events and assessing the impact on the counterparty.
• Regular stress testing of the corporate portfolio to ensure credit quality under dynamic macro
environment.
• Have also been involved in training new recruits with respect to credit appraisal methods and understanding internal policies & procedures.
