-Held responsible for Purchase and Inventory Function of 500 MW thermal power plant at Budge Budge, India, Kolkata.
-Has been an active user of Purchase and Inventory Modules of Oracle Applications Release 11.0.300, which has been implemented in Materials Division.
-Ensured the timely scrap disposal from the different generating stations and other sites of mains department for smooth operation.

-Scrutinised the offers received from the vendors and took ordering action.
-Got approval of PO’s (Purchase Orders) and necessary amendments if required.
-Kept an eye on the current stock position and pending PR’s/PO’s of a particular item before taking ordering action.
-Innovated alternate sources for OEM substitution and imported items.
-Entering into rate contract with vendors for some special items like chemicals, steel items, etc. whose price was fluctuating in nature and thereon saved costs.
-Liaised with stores for timely generation of PR’s by running Min-Max planning report such that stock replenishment occurs in time and there was no situation of any stock out.
-Planned strategically so that all material related transactions like receipt at stores, acceptance of materials/return to vendor, taking the materials to stock, issue of materials to station / return of materials from station were done smoothly.
-Monitored the preparation of various types of MIS reports and provided the same to higher management for decision making process.
