I was military officer of Nepalese Army as rank of Lieutenant Colonel. I have 26 years of experienced in Nepalese Army with various appointments. I was Platoon commander, administrative officer, logistic officer, training officer, company commander, Battalion commander and Operation officer at brigade and division level. I had commanded two infantry battalion (850 soldiers) in Nepal and one in peacekeeping mission at Democratic Republic of Congo Nepalese Battalion in 2008. I also have participated five UN peace keeping Missions in the most volatile countries like DRC, Sudan and Lebanon. I worked with international community as a security commander, Military observer, administrative and logistic officer in peacekeeping missions. I have master Degree in Political Science which is one of the highest university degrees of Nepal. I have done many securities, administrative, logistic and peacekeeping trainings in Nepal and aboard.
The work is as per the different appointmet as belows;
Senior united nation Military Observer;
• Supervised daily function of
15 MILOB team sites.
• Received daily tracking, situation reports and flash reports.
• Consolidated the daily reports and send to the higher authority.
• Look after the deployment, re-deployment, and discipline and welfare issue of all milobs/Liaison officers deployed in the sector.
• Prepared weekly, monthly and quarterly Admin, ops and Log reports.
• Prepared weekly briefing to brigade commander.
Battalion Commander;
Man management of tps under command.
Look after the welfare and moral of all ranks.
Plan and execute the military operations in AOR for a day to day basis.
To Liaison with different and international agencies.
Help the district administration in terms of:-
• Maintain the law and order situation of the district.
• Help during natural calamities and disaster relief operation.
Co-ordination with other security agencies.
• Maintain the cordial and working relations with other heads of civil administrative offices.
Organize training for all ranks to meet the operational requirements.
As UN pecaekeeping mission Battalion commander;
To Plan & conduct visits of Force Commander & Other Staff officers within the AOR.
Co- ordination with MONUC Chain of command (Military & Civilian)
To plan and conduct heli-insertion operations, highway patrolling with in the AOR.
Establish mobile & Static Checkpoints in order to prevent;
Armed elements movement.
Weapon trafficking.
Looting & abducting local people by armed groups.
Conduct humanitarian activities within the AO.
Conduct Joint operations with FARDC (Congolese National Army)
Conduct area domination patrol during market day to prevent the harassment for civilian by Militia, FARDC & PNC
Report foreign armed elements movement to MONUC HQ.
Provide escorts to the UN agencies.
To support DDR, DDRRR & SSR programs.
Maintain discipline as per the code of conduct
As Staff officer; To plan & co-ordinate the operational matters of brigade under command.
Disseminate the operation related order & instruction of Army HQ to brigade
To plan & Co-ordinate military training for all ranks of far west div.
Attend security meeting of regional level with other security agency as per the direction of division commander.
Prepare weekly security assessment report of AOR as per the instruction of division commander.
Conduct official visit for delegation of Army H.Q & GOVT official.
