• Negotiate with suppliers on lead-time, cost and quality so as to obtain the maximum benefit for the company.
• Manage suppliers to meet objectives related to cost, delivery performance, schedule and quality.
• Develop purchasing or sourcing strategies based on portfolio analyses and supplier referencing study.
• Define and maintain documented category and supplier strategies using market and competitive data.
• Liaise with suppliers on delivery schedule so as to ensure on-time deliveries of final product.
• Develop, implement and drive the procurement strategies in order to meet cost savings targets.
• Review and manage the supplier base to ensure consistency with the sourcing strategy.
• Perform regular performance review with suppliers to drive continuous improvements.
• Create monthly performance reviews and reports focusing on overall sourcing requirements.
• Ensure commercial, legal and contractual compliances in all the procurement transactions.
• Adopt appropriate supplier management methodologies and procurement strategies in purchasing to secure better prices.
• Train team on effective procurement processes and strategy.
• Coordinate with vendor on continuous quality improvement.
• Schedule the production and maintenance of 2750, 1800 UST press & Flux coating machine.
• Schedule and organize die design to meet customer expected dead line and quality standard
• Co-ordinate preventive maintenance, cost control measurements, optimize consumables, spare parts, & raw materials inventory to die fabrication.
• Evaluate customer desired products then assign appropriate extrusion press for running production. Propose alternative measures when necessary.
• Research and development in aluminum extrusion in die design.
• Liaise with die correction, production &relevant to ensure design fit to be used and products quality standard expectation.
• Schedule and organize sample making to meet customer expected deadline and quality standard.
• Co-ordinate problematic die correction activities and perform die design review to improve die performance hence reducing non - productive billets and rejects.
• Management of Die - Shop.
• Manage daily operations in die shop. Die pickling & nitriding area.
• Work with die technicians, Die suppliers and production team to improve die performance. (Lower die failure ratio & longer die life.)
• Report dieshop key performance indicator (KPI’S) on daily, monthly, annual basis using ERP/Office tools available.
• Verbal & written reporting of any relevant activities as required by the company.
• Support developing and maintaining of quality, environmental and safety procedures and certifications (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, TS 16949, OHSAS 18001)
• Working synergy with the planning department in order to respect the schedule & and to deliver a high service level to customer.
• Periodic reporting to the top management of all aspects of operations.
• Identify and evaluate all risk factors as well as develop appropriate risk management plans.
• Work with production personnel to improve extrusion and die performance.
• Work with production and maintenance personnel to develop and maintain critical manufacturing process tooling & documentation.
• Work with procurement department in preparing orders, specifications and contracts for dies and tooling.
