- Receiving multiple live feeds from different destinations, maintaining the required audio and video quality for various programs and arrange for IFB.
- Ensure the recording of live programs & feeds from outside offices into the server, and tapes as a backup (Via Satellite, Fiber).
- Assist MCR Supervisor in MCR related projects.
- Assist and guide production operators in our bureaus regarding technical and SNG related problems if ever occur during transmission.
- Provide basic dubbing and format transfer services to News Room producers
- Quality Control and transcoding of all incoming package transfers to Media Servers
- Coordinate effectively with operators in the field to support remote operations via satellite.
- Support bureaus’ engineers/operators on tracking and solving problems.
- First level fault finding on the wide range of broadcast equipment, and take immediate preventative action to restore traffic
- Ensure Correct Satellite Access procedures are implemented on CNBC Arabia Leased space capacities.

As a Broadcast Engineer, I take responsibility for the day to day support of the broadcast systems within the facility, supporting the Broadcast Hardware Environment and Software Systems to ensure the successful smooth running of the News Channel. Acting as the 1st and 2nd line support for all aspects of Broadcast in a 24 hour operation, , with the ability to efficiently overcome any issues to ensure the channel remains on air.
