Handling letters of credit import/export and L/G.
Check the issue drafts and advise customers about terms and conditions of L/Cs and L/G advisory, amendments, negotiations and settlements.
Document examinations as per laws and regulations, advisory of discrepancies, honouring reimbursement claims, processing claims for payments.
Responsible for international banking operations, international payments, correspondent banking, processing of import/export collection bills, international cheque collections.
Issuing L/C, D/C and L/G, ensuring proper finance operations, procedures and internal controls are in place and in line with policies and international rules (UCP600, ISBP)
Responsible for international payments and checking apparent authenticity of incoming swift messages, mails and letters.
Preparation of swift messages to the correspondent banks in case of clarification/ratification of irregularities
Effectively communicate with other departments by providing them feedback, exchanging information and issues of concern arising out of relationship agreements with correspondent banks.
Processing transactions and accounting entries where applicable.
Active key user of implementation project of a new application in respect of the internal procedures and ICC rules.
